  • Journalist Daniel Heimpel describes how his exploration of the foster care system in California led him to create a solutions-based style of reporting that he now teaches to UC Berkeley public policy, journalism and social welfare students, as well as those enrolled in UCB’s Journalism for Social Change MOOC.     I am so excited for the J4SC course! I remember learning about the idea of solutions journalism in a sociology class and thinking it was such a great idea. It'll be cool to learn more about it. :D
