This video shows mushroom hunting of the following mushroom species: Red-capped scaber stalk (Leccinum aurantiacum), European aspen bolete (Leccinum albostipitatum), Cep / King bolete / Penny bun (Boletus edulis). It was recorded on 17th September in Slovakia, Europe.

My grandfather came from Papradno to US in early 1900's, grandmother's family from Turzovka a few years later. We have different mushrooms in Pennsylvania but they did teach my dad and uncles a few of them. I've always been fascinated.

You are welcome. All mushrooms I pick here are okay to eat, but some of them require longer cooking.

How would you grade the taste of red caps in compare to cep or scarlatina?

A good question. However, I don't think I am able to compare that, as I don't eat mushrooms so often and even less frequently it is to eat just a single species.
