Thank you so much, I’ve been looking for this kinda of deck support for long time. Hope I could find one on line.

A user may find that the round collar with the internal female threads that sits on top of the post will turn with the screw. In that case, it will be necessary to use a big pliers to hold the collar. I called the manufacturer in Wadsworth Ohio about this issue and the customer service representative said he had no idea what I was talking about. He also admitted he had never seen a jack post personally and was only looking at his computer screen. It's hard to imagine that a person who has never seen a product is qualified to assist a customer. His suggestion was for me to take it back to the store.... (where I would buy an identical post jack with the same issue)

Sounds like a bad customer experience but this thing works pretty good for me. Good luck on your project. Thanks for watching.

Can i add one next to a Lally column for extra support that is showing some rust ?

Oh they’re made for supporting weight while you’re doing a job, so I think you could put one next to any poles that are rusting out just for protection

Well, that whole headers are so concrete and the roof above so it’s extremely heavy

You can try Home Depot or go online and see if the company has one

In the video provided by home depot (ua-cam.com/video/oi1su8nxgNo/v-deo.html), the adjustable knob is placed at the bottom site, but you place it at the top site. Is there a difference? Which site is better? Can you make a comment on it. Thanks.

Having it at the top seem to make it easier to use and reach I don’t think there’s any difference but this seemed easier for me good luck thanks for watching

Yes, this is THE CORRECT WAY to install the support jacks, not how this guy is doing it.

@@TB-qk2ym Actually YOU ARE INCORRECT, listen to the final 10 seconds of the manufacture provided video it says either way is fine.

It said for shorter heights, the video said to flip the jack. But on extended lengths, you want adjustment screw on the bottom.

you could have shaved 8 minutes off of this video easily and why not just put the level on the side of your jack while adjusting.
