- We're counting down the weeks till the VW Round Up in Florence, AZ where we'll be driving this 1967 Sunroof Beetle for it's first road trip in decades possibly. We're "this close" to being able to drive the Beetle for it's first drive in who knows how long so Sam pushed forward with rust repairs to the A-Pillar at the inner fender well and door jamb. Then he cuts another hole in the tunnel so he can weld the clutch cable tube in place so the clutch cable will be able to do its job. Then he tackles one of the most common rust repairs old VW Beetles need, he cuts out and welds in new floor pans. Follow along as Sam continues getting this old VW Beetle ready for the road once again!

I think the key point in a body-stays-on floor pan replacement is "drive it and enjoy it". This is a good bug, it just needs some fixes. Not every bug needs to be a full on restoration. You are just days away from a mechanically sound ol' bug. Thank you for sharing this.
Sam, after enjoying many of your videos I realized that I wasn't subscribed, so I took care of that..
Enjoying seeing that rust disappear... I can do the absence of paint, but I'm not into rust... Thx for bringing us along on another informative video.. Take care my friend...
Thank you for the overhead time-lapse while replacing the passenger side floor pan! Even sped up, it was helpful to see the whole process! I need to replace the floor pans on my '69 Beetle, and this makes me think I MIGHT be able to do it!
This is awesome! A body off replacement would have got me in dutch with the wife for sure. This is doable.
Thank you so much
Thanks Sam. Love these videos!
I always wondered how to replace floor pans in place. Looks like a very nice jub.
Good job, Sam! Not too shabby!
Another awesome video your the man Sam thank You
you are a legend!
I don't know about all that....but I am having a good time!
Great job Sam your videos are not only fun to watch but are educational as well. Now all we got to do is head over to Jbugs and order our parts.
Btw I've ordered several parts from there and always have gotten my stuff fast and I love the quality!!
If you can grind you can weld.
Yep!
