That looks so yummy!! .. making me hungry!!😋💖Thanks for showing us your method of making it all!!🥔🍄🦐 Your garden looks great, Tina.. and I bet your tomato plant will quickly recover. Good job!!❤👏 i know that your sweet cats are So Glad to have you two & Tony back home!🐱💞🐈
✳Wanted to add this from my previous comment: i look for your videos 1st every time!! ❤It's very refreshing & interesting to watch them, & you two make such a great, loving team together!! Thank you so much for all that you share.. makes my day better!!💕👏💞🙏
Wow. Your garden looks great. Take that cabbage and cut into wedges and put into individual foil wraps, cover them in butter, salt and pepper, and cook them on the grill. Yum Yum cook until tender. I like a little char on mine.
Congrats on hitting 15K!!! I've been traveling and gotten behind on videos so I'm binging to catch up on all the happenings! Glad you had a nice vacation🌞
What a wonderful video. Where do you guys get the energy. It has to be youth. This old great grandma is amazed at how Rob can go from hard labor driving miles to get home and have the energy to boil crayfish for dinner. You two are too adorable. ❤❤
I’m a 60 y/o Cajun born, raised and living on the Gulf Coast of Louisiana. I don’t know anything about what LSU says but we’ve always used a salt soak (a few hours) to purge crawfish. Salt is easier to get than a bubbler. Anyway, how many people get their crawfish 36 hrs before boiling them? That seems like a lot of trouble just to get rid of the sand tract which is easily peeled out and discarded. Also, most of us add corn on the cob, whole onions, garlic, sausage, hot dogs (for the kids), and halved lemons to the boil. I’ve not seen butter added or dry boil sprinkled on top but to each his own. Anyway, I love crawfish so much I don’t really care what you put in the pot with them😁 Garden looks great! I’m jealous of your cabbage!😋
So glad ya'll are safely home. I worry about road trip in todays world we live in. So many bad things can happen. The Garden looks wonderful. I've only go potatoes planted. Here in NC we have been down In the mid thirties a couple nights lately. But, plan on getting my tomatoes planted by the weekend. So ready for full blown Spring. Take care Rob & Tina ❤
I love visiting your home and enjoy everything you two do. You are the sweetest couple. You have made a good life together. My favorite is watching Rob cook. Delicious food.
Oh boy, you can tell Robert knows his stuff about the crawfish 👍🏻 everything out of the garden taste so much better than you could buy from the store and it’s the heck of a lot cheaper too. So happy for you both with all of the progress you’ve made for the RV Now Tina I sent you a message asking you if you want me to make the your sign for the new place. I haven’t heard back from you. I told you I haven’t sent to Dan’s. You can pick it up there. I need to know how big you want it. You don’t let me know. I can’t make it you can paint it and hang it, really nice?
Glad you had a nice vacation with your family. Your garden looks sooo good. That's a huge cabbage!!! Tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, lettuce all looking good and peppers. Crawfish dinner looks sooo good!! Thanks for sharing.
The garden is looking beautiful. The crawfish are going to make a good dinner. And no matter how nice visiting family there really is no place like home. 💖💖💖
Your garden looks beautiful, I bought some seeds, potting soil and a tray yesterday to start some plants inside, it's still too cold to plant outside here in NY. I need to try the shake n bake idea, that sounds amazing. ❤🍯
Wow. Really interesting for someone who has only ever eaten freshly cooked lobster. Wish you had shown us how to eat those little crawfish. Also, what's in the dust? You only use melted butter to dip the lobster in. Thank you for the education. Take care. Just waiting for the partial eclipse this afternoon. No, not looking at it except online. 🇨🇦❤️🙋🏼♀️🇨🇦
Okay, again, I wish I was your neighbor. Crawfish boil YUM. Tina, your garden is looking great. Making me think about planting a tomato or two in pots. Still too early in IL for planting. Extra food source is a great idea. 👍
Rob when we used to dig clams in Nova Scotia, we would soak them in a bucket of salt water with a cup of corn meal. That way they would spew out all the sand.
Tina and Rob, you are fortunate to have such a nice comfy home, where you can cook crawfish in the bbq and other delicious dishes. Enjoy it in good health and comfort. Bless Y'all❤❤
First sunburn of the season OUCH! Your garden is small but it does look great. We have trouble growing tomatoes, but my sister who lives in town (Tucson) can grow them just fine. Have a good night and may your days be blessed stay safe
Girl, im still so scared of getting sunburned after having cancer. I thought wearing sun block would keep you from burning. Thank you for sharing. My eyes are opened now.
Ya'll are just too cool. I attended the World's Fair in NO in 1984. My first and only trip to Louisiana. I loved it. Introduced to crawfish and gumbo. The zydeo music was great and fun. Our clogging team performed on stage. They loved our music, we loved theirs. Rob. Love your cooking tips. Tina, great job on your garden. Never thought of just using pots. Gave me some great ideas since it's just me. Keep it up.
Another great video. I love watching your videos. Every time it's something different and I love that. Thank you for taking me along with your day and what you both do. Love you guys
I grew up in a small town on the side of Lake Michigan and we had a small crick that ran through town. Last day of school, our shoes came off and we spent many hours playing in the crick, in the woods or going down to the lake and swim. We would get chick necks and gizzards and a string…with that we would catch what u call crayfish we called crabs. When we got a lot of them we would carry them home and my mother would boil water with caraway seeds and we would drop them in alive..no rinsing…just pull them apart and pull what we called a sand trap aka little black line and we ate the tails and claws. If we found a big blue one they were called Indian crabs…I have no clue how they got that name but that is what se called the big blue ones. This was back in the mid 50’s. My 2 son’s are scuba divers and would go out in the Long Island sound or out in the Atlantic and hand catch Lobsters…when they got bigger they worked on the lobster boat if they were missing a claw they couldn’t sell them so they came home with them…got to the point we started giving them to raccoons.
Tina, Rob, where is your small corn on the Cobs? I do not eat Seafood, BUT I lived in Louisiana for 2-years with my Cajun family and learned to cook Louisiana Cajun Style Food. I am asked to make the dishes by friend’s & family here in Illinois, but I cook, it don’t eat. ( I am pretty close to an all Vegetarian as a person can possibly get. 🤷🏻♀️ ) Have a Blessed Dsy. 🙏🏻💞
That looks really good. I’m in Virginia so crawfish isn’t a staple here but years ago a friend invited me over because her uncle was coming up from Louisiana and he was bringing crawfish. He made a gumbo for us that was amazing and there has been no gumbo I have tasted that has surpassed that. You are so right about lettuce and salad fixings from a garden…so good.
I’ve never had crawfish but as kids we used to catch crayfish by hand in the cold waters of northern Lake Michigan. We would rinse them and place them into a pot of boiling water for a few minutes then eat the tails. Free food! With all the pollutants in the Great Lakes now I doubt if they are safe to eat now. Love your garden! Can’t wait to get mine started next month.
It’s probably more wind burn Tina because sun screen doesn’t seem to stop you from burning when it’s windy, plus a little burning from the sun reflecting off the rocks like you said. Dinner looked good do you put any other things in the boil I’ve seen other channels put corn , onions and sausage as well 😊
I'm happy you had a great time, and got the property started for your RV. I'm so happy you made it home safely. Tina you're going to be beautiful with that color once the red goes away❤❤❤❤
Good afternoon Tina and Rob it looked like a good time at Rob's parents house. Looks like Rob got some sun too he seems to tan easily. It looks like cleaning crawfish is a lot like cleaning. clams it's a process... Did you ever put ground egg shell in your tomato plants
Only had crawfish once ( in a restaurant) I’m more of a 🦀 person. ….. The flowers and the vegetables look great. ….. Do you do anything with the big cabbage leaves???…… ❤🤗
Watch Tony around the cucumbers. My yorkies love them which is fine but there wasn’t much left for me. Every time I would go out to get one it would be gone. I watched 1 day and seen them jumping up and stealing them on me🤣🤣and my raised beds are 36” high
Even though i’m allergic to shellfish your meal looked delicious - Thanks for sharing - do you have to spray your garden with insecticide to kill off the bugs x
here in Iowa we take bacon grease & bacon and either vinegar or a vinegar at salad oil heated up and put it on the lettuce and have wilted lettuce It is absolutely delicious.
produced from stores is not picked at full ripe and is allowed to ripen in transit and most the time many veggies are not grown in soil but in a hydroponic system with nutrient rich water to give all the nutrients soil would give them. But nature does the best job of placing nutrients in soil and ripening the plant.
Good morning Tina, Rob love watching your videos oh wow look at them crawfish mmmm yeah love that little Tony❤ RRobert get that off of Tina’s pepper plant that is a no no lol
Never had crayfish don't think I will. Your garden looks beautiful. Have a great day.❤❤❤

In Savannah, we usually use shrimp and/or crab instead of crawfish. Potatoes and sausage, of course.
