Yes, good call on this. Since filming this, my wife had a bunch of power adapters from her office she asked me to throw out, and amongst them was a 65W HP PD charger which I've now taken for this :)
I've been using chargers that I bought second-hand over a decade ago, and I've been waiting for this one to arrive. While researching this product, I found out about the Fast PD charger and bought a 65W PPS GaN charger and a 100W C cable. The ease of charging with USB-C seems to be a big attraction.
@@CurryKitten Yep, those things are lethal, compliant ones have shutters but even better, there are clamshell adapters that would not cost the Chinese much more to include that are 100% safe.
simple question 4 months later: is it really any good ? I am asking due to a video titled AVOID! 80% FAILURE RATE - Do not buy B6neo chargers. he owned 5 of these and 4 suffered from defects mostly the fan no longer spinning and I guess overheating. I am about to buy this one but now I am hesitant it the new isdt 605pd would not be better.
This was the video from RC Video Reviews. i did comment at the time, that my one was fine, but that was only after a few weeks of use. But yes, 4 months on and I do use it regularly - and there's no issues. Of course, this doesn't mean there's no issues - either I got lucky, or he got a bunch from a particularly bad batch
Well, technically a 1S lipo is always in balance as it's 1 cell can't be compared with another cell to make it out of balance :) If you are talking about storage charging, as MC says - there are board/cables for this as chargers very rarely do them. You can put this into 1S and select storage, but I haven't got any 1S lipos around to test. What normally happens it it complains there's no balance connector and fails, but I'll grab a 1S from somewhere and test at some point.

Yes - I was surprised just how much power you could get from USBC with a PD adapter. Makes everything a lot more convenient to use

it just keeps saying cell error. i'm sending it back.
If you can do a multimeter reading across the cells and it's coming up good, then you may well have a duffer. Send it on back straight away

Can it balance charge a 1S battery?
I believe it will do it if you make a series connector cable. I made some, they work very well.
