Garlic has allways been good for reasons unknown to science lol.i remember back in the day they had this spray you could mist your plastics with and it was basically concentrated garlic oil.id love to know why fish do respond to garlic in particular.its odd lol.
I use bread slices, fish flakes, water and sinking pellets add abit of shrimp to it mush it up as you did then add flour works a treat proper stinky and fish love it
I used all the ingredients except the flour. I used brown gravy mix instead with the original ingredients and I caught several catfish over 20 lbs and a red drum. Use lots of garlic powder.
Thanks for the tutorial, it s basically boilies base which you can add any flavourings depending where you fish, I will certainly try your recipe and be adventurous with trying other flavourings /scents. Thanks again. 👍
I'm writing to both thank you for your video of how to make your dough bait as well as offer my own twist to your formula. Your formula works great just as is for the fishing I'm doing in the brackish water canal I have in my backyard. The species I've seen and caught so far are Tilapia, Mullet, Blue Catfish, Walking Catfish, Tons of a few varieties of Bluegills aka Bream, Blue Claw Crabs (yep, these crabs attack almost anything, but WILL attack and eat your dough bait. To add to the fun...there are dozens of small and a few large snapping turtles as well as Alligator Snapping Turtles (never even heard of these before moving here. Much nicer than regular Snapping Turtles. They can take a finger, etc., BUT these Alligator Turtles are basically passive in the water and don't attack their food. They wait with their mouths open for food to swim nearby. Video of these both types can be found here on UA-cam. And in conclusion, the few relatively small Alligators that swim into the canals here from the major saltwater river that these canals are created by. So now that I've covered everything I know for certain that lives in the water, onto my own modifications to your basic recipe. Every creature in and out of the water seems to go wild and start frenzy feeding every time I put some dry cat food into a chum bucket and throw it into water about 2-3 feet deep right in front of where I fish. In less than 10 minutes even if I've not seen any signs of fish activity, all types of fish from babies to adults of all sizes show up and start attacking the chum bucket. I even throw a few handfuls of cat food which floats on top and both the fish and the seagulls attack almost immediately. The point of describing this is that I grind up a few handfuls of the dry cat food in my blender, or you can use anything you have to grind up the dry food so it can be poured into the dough mix. Next, I add is Menhaden Oil. If you don't have this...any fish oil or vegetable oil you have will work almost as well. If adding any oil, please keep in mind that oil and water don't mix literally, but they will blend well in this mixture of dry ingredients. The oil also gives the final product a tougher yet still moldable consistency strong enough to put on a single hook and not just a treble hook. Next, put this mixture when you have it in the same consistency like this video shows into the microwave on a microwave safe cookie baking sheet, or even on paper plates. AFTER you flatten the mixture into one or more 1/2 inch thick patties of whatever shape you wind up with. In a 1,000 watt microwave let 'cook' at full power. This will be just enough to make your mixture very firm and can be easily and cleanly rolled into balls and put on a hook of any kind. When done correctly, the finished product will be tough enough to handle nibblers, stealers, etc. and hold onto the hook enticing any fish to take bigger bites making it easier to set the hook when you feel a hit. I've had such a massive increase of hits and catches of all the fish I've mentioned in the water here even before I added my own additional ingredients. I'm hoping others who read this will give my recipe and write about their results here. I will try to make a video showing what I've written about as well as what happens when I fish with the dough bait. Thanks again so much for your video! If I hadn't followed your instructions, I'd not have been able to give my own additions a try and now have an excellent inexpensive bait to use at any level from the surface to the bottom.
Neal, thank you for writing this out for us, it must've taken you a long time. I'll check out your channel for the video you mentioned you were gonna make after I show my respect for writing this long recipe. Thank you sir
I haven't read ur message yet but how do u bait the hook and should u let in dry on it for a bit or something. Why doesn't the dough dissolve off the hook? Or how often should u check the hook still has bait? I'm reading ur comment now. I'm a super beginner. I really just wanted to learn to throw a cast net.
Yeah,it is prooving to be effective.though the wife strongly disagrees lol.its still in the wheelhouse.but lately I'm running a dough bait made with jello powder for color mostly, rolling it in balls and boiling em.my main pond has ducks people feed non stop, and the fish tend to respond very well to bread products.and boiling em has made them tougher.i had issues with mold on my first batch,so second batch I coated heavily in salt as they dried.seems to work and the salt seems to be an attractint to boot.ill have to find a bulk sorce of fish oil to continue my experiments with it,and at the moment it's a bit expensive.
Sugar does not attract fish the way you might think. It is not tasty to them like the salty doughy garlic bites but it does spread through the water to attract them. You could also try sprinkling in spices or sugar into your fishing spot/ice hole and go to town!
I tried to make this dough bait but it gets off the hook when small fishes nibbles it.. what seems to be the problem? Thank to anyone who can give advice..
Bro, next time, please mix the fluor and other ingredients while wearing a pair of disposable polythene gloves. By this way, you will be able to mix all the ingredients with fluor.
This thing works really really well. Thanks for the instructions.

Hi, Is it work on Salt Water fishing as well?
Kamran Sami yes the dough doesn’t dissolve easily

Tayne .F Oo smart! Different calors
I'm going to try this except adding a little anise extract and Parmesan cheese...maybe subtracting the sugar. Any thoughts?
Nomad haha try it out man. It might work even better
If you don’t want it to be really sticky add a very small amount of olive oil and It won’t be so sticky
Does the bait dissolve in water easily?
Was considering useing something similar, with garlic and fish oil.any thoughts on this?
Richard Peterson I think the fish Oil will really attract the fish in specially the catfish!

Does this have to be on a treble hook or can it just be on a regular one
A treble would work best. But I have done regular and it work Just fine
any idea how do i add my strawberry fish attractant if im following your instructions?
Raymond just put some of your attractant on the dough and mix is together or before tossing it in the water,
It should work for trout panfish gopi catfish and carp they love stuff like that
JT'S WONDERLAND they really do I’ve caught all of those with it
will this works with saltwater fish?
Hey,that’s for carp I like to have some bluegill fishing
What type of flour you use?
bread
@@fresh2294 thanks ill try it out. I try this before but the bait dont really stick on the hook.
I used brown sugar cuz I didn't have cane available is that alright?
zanes trash for real yea the sugar is for attracting certain fish, cause of the sweetness
bait made from just the flour is good too
GARLIC BREAD, BAKE @ 350 FOR 45 MINS....😂😂😂
Does anyone know if this can be used for brown trout
C Cook i think it’ll work for brown trout in waters that are stationary, like deep pools and what not, not so much for moving water.
what if you dont have garlic powder , what should i put instead of it
Got curious this morning and did one with sardines havent gotten out to this it yet tmr norning thi. (9pm now)
I was thinking of this as well.

Can i use fresh garlic?
how does the bait stay on the hook though?
Does it float?
Which flour you will use
Parthibanraj Parthibanraj just plane flour
In saltwater you need to add some organs of fish to make to come the fish in your bait and to be for "delicious' for fish and predators
And fish blood
nice man, ill keep that in mind whenever i hit the ocean up, hopefully soon
I tried to make this dough bait but it gets off the hook when small fishes nibbles it.. what seems to be the problem?

Sylvester Marshall yeah I mean ether way works, and yeah I have I've caught. Carp catfish , lots of trout , bluegill baby bassa and wiper/hybrids
Oh, great to hear that. Thanks dear.
