got this game with my mom after finding it at a hotel. we made new rules for it until it became more of a war game than the original concept. if you have terrible luck, the og game can take AGES to win, and it's the funniest thing ever to watch someone try to do. you can see someone go thru every stage of grief playing this godforsaken torture game and i love it.
My strategy for this game is keeping numbers 2-7 and getting rid of 1, 8 and 9 as fast as possible. The problem with being left with a 1 and another number at the end is that there's only one possible roll to make you win, whereas having like a 4 and a 5 at least gets you further if you get a 4 or 5, and a 9 just wins the game. I keep numbers 2-7 because you can make any possible number out of them and generally you can knock multiple out at once, like if you have 2-7 left and roll a 12 then you can get rid of 2, 3, and 7 all in one, leaving that nice 4,5. Just as a general rule though I try to remove the higher values earlier, like you can make a lot more usable stuff with a 3, 4,5 than a 5,6,7 due to how rolls work and probability.

Anyways, my grandma passed in the beginning of 2021 and I couldn't attend because I moved states and couldnt afford to go. I did watch it online. Usually when I roll dice, I use both of my hands to cover them so that I can roll them as much as I want without worrying about them flying out of my hands. It may work for some of your future videos!

Isn’t it always going to be better to put down as high a number as possible? For example always better to put down the 5 rather than the 3 and 2. Because you can always use the 3 and 2 where you can use the 5 but not always vice versa.

I think the best strategy would be to close as few numbers as possible, and close the higher numbers first.
Someone already said this but you can always go with one die after 7,8,9 are put down!
This game would require actual strategy if you do your next roll before you flip the numbers.
