      It was attached to the metal part of headlight housing. They tell you that it attaches to the metal in the light and it connects to the metal part of the bulb completing that circuit.

    *_Had to look this up because I'm pretty sure I ordered the wrong bulb. My OEM civic lights said it takes H4/9003 but now looking at it my aftermarket lights actually take H1 bulbs… after trying to put them in I looked at the bulbs I already had in and they said H1 on them._*

    Never secure wires like this guy did. Under the hood the wires need to be not exposed to the elements. This tape the wires and leave them hanging was a half ___ you know what job. Cut the wires and solder and heat shrink or get a waterproof inline splice you also shrink with heat, and it seals the wire connection. This guy just made a wire problem at least here in Ohio where we have rain, snow, and salt water in winter.

      I'm not sure if this is true or not but I always assumed it was also for keeping moisture out. Getting moisture inside the headlight causes fogging and is annoying to get rid of.

    • @AllaLighting
      @AllaLighting  3 роки тому +1

      For LED upgrade halogen, for some vehicles, extra H1 adapters maybe required to hold the LED, here is installation guide for your reference: ua-cam.com/video/ZR_RqmLCaKY/v-deo.html, it has several H1 adapters depends on the stock retainer holder, so please check the OEM one and choose the correct, H1 headlight adapters option link is allalighting.com/search?type=product&q=h1+adapter

    Question i cant remove the ground wire from the Housing. Can i use that led without attaching the ground wire?

    • @masterofuploader4
      @masterofuploader4 3 роки тому

      Or since it is attached to the housing can i just stick the ground wire to the housing?

    • @AllaLighting
      @AllaLighting  3 роки тому

      Ground/negative is required to power LED bulbs, you can use T-tap to splice LED bulb negative wire to ground cable in the housing, you can also stick LED bulb negative wire to metal ground in the housing using a soldering iron.
      If you don't have any of those, the easiest way to do so is to strip about 1 to 2 inches of both negative wire and ground wire then twist them together, wrap with electrical tap.
      check the connection regularly if you twist wires together, which is not as reliable as soldering joint or T-tap joint.
