    Saved money because of your video. I actually bought a new sensor just because... Thank you for showing us. Dealership wanted close to $250.

    This can has a high volume of alcohol in it and that’s why it dries so fast. It should also come with a straw to help reach hard to reach areas. Always hold electrical connections upward as you spray away from them to avoid shorting out circuit boards inside of the parts

    Hello, very good your video I have that same problem of the map sensor, after I do the same job as you, I have to program the map sensor I have doubts about that.

    So without the MaxiDas or OBD II, you & many will be clueless.
    What was the symptom of the Sonata?

    Thanks for video, in my 2.0T is located in a very more accesible place and it's attached to the motor by 2 screws instead of one like yours, i decided change it because is a very cheap part ($13 dollars on Ebay) and assure you that won't bother you again this, thanks again for the video, if you have a video about Airbag Clock Spring i would really appreciate it

      Jose Frias You're right. People who own a 2.0T Sonata need to be careful. You could easily buy the wrong sensor because most online searches will show you the sensor for non-turbo Sonatas. I made a video to show 2.0T owners the location (much easier access) and part number for their MAP sensor. Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/GdktnR_OtMU/v-deo.html

      @@NJbakintheday thanks for your video for my surprise i've found that the 2.0T Sonatas has 2 MAP sensor, because of that when i changed it continues giving me the same error, one sensor is attached to the front part of the engine as you show us in your video and the other one is on the air intake pipe that comes from the Turbo, i will make a video soon about the 2nd MAP sensor position, regards.

    • @NJbakintheday
      @NJbakintheday 6 років тому

      Jose Frias Yes. Thank you. I forgot about the sensor on the air intake. I saw somewhere that it's technically called the Throttle Position Sensor.

  • @JudoKnowles
    @JudoKnowles 2 роки тому +1

    I'm going to try this, but just to be clear. The check engine light being off is what happens after you clear the code anyways so the problem isn't for sure fixed based on that.

      Nonetheless I'm going to clean it off and if I can find this comment later I'll let you know if it worked for me or if I gotta replace it

    Very thankful for this video, but we can't see what parts you're spraying. Do we just spray the entire sensor?

    I also have a 2.4 gls Hyundai Sonata. For a couple years now I have consistantly been getting error code p0128.I have replaced the thermostats twice, replaced the temperature sensor and replaced engine air filter. I am still getting same code. Engine stutters/hickups only a few times so far, usually just after a stop while idleing. Gas mileage consistancy is a bit spuratic. Can't get consistant coolant temp. Takes forever to warm up ideling, then cools down to almost starting temp when on highway. Stays almost up to temp during the summer. Coolant temp significantly lowers when heater is on (unless it's hot out). Sometimes coolant can go almost completely up to temp within just a few minutes of ideling.. The only other thing I can think to replace is the IAT sensor... Do you have any other recommendations?? I would REALLY appreciate it.. Thank you so much

    BE AWARE 2.0T OWNERS: If you have a turbo engine, this video may only confuse or frustrate you. I have a 2011 Sonata 2.0T and thought this video would apply, but it doesn't... at least not directly. In the 2.0T, the location of the MAP sensor is different, and the part itself is different. The 2.0T sensor has two bolts/bolt holes and is located front and center on the manifold. I made a quick video to show you where it's located and what part # to search for: ua-cam.com/video/GdktnR_OtMU/v-deo.html

    Update: My Sonata's check engine light was on, giving the code for faulty MAP sensor. During an oil change, and before I had a chance to order a new sensor, I changed the intake air filter. To my surprise, the check engine light went out and hasn't come back on. It's only been one day, but I'll keep an eye on it. Could it be that the old, dirty air filter caused a P0106 code?

    • @NJbakintheday
      @NJbakintheday 6 років тому +1

      Update: 3 or 4 days after changing the intake air filter, the check engine light came back on. So, I'm going to order a new map sensor .

      yes maybe the sensor dirty and sometime the check engine off but the car still has the code you want use car code reader to make sure dos't has code

    My 2012 sonata GLS does not have the engine light on
    But engine hesites on idle when I stop at a light or right after ignition.
    Already change spark plug
    Cleaned the injectors and the back of the valves twice
    Can’t figure what’s causing the problem
    My question is
    What is the car reaction or performance when this sensor you guys talking about
    Starts to fail??
    Is this the air flow sensor??

    • @easyfixathome8753

      yes ..maybe you need change this sensor because it do same what you talking and check the engine air filter make sure it is clean and put good quality gas
