One thing to remember is the pool from which most of these HC candidates originate. Except for an occasional college coach, they’re guys who worked their way up from the ground on NFL teams. The Sean McVays of the world didn’t have playing careers. Most players with full careers then miss out on getting in at the ground floor of coaching at age 22. I’ve liked Eric Bieniemy since he was an RB at Colorado & then on the Chargers only Super Bowl team. Also, like the video says, coaches coming up through the QB rooms are also getting hired. Finally, EB is stuck in between of a sea of change in coaching where younger coaches are willing to cede many of the traditional powers of a head coach while also being the ones who designed their plays & offensive schemes around the changes in the rules which create more space on the field while being player friendly. EB has encountered some issues which he handled like a man but still involved violence against a woman. He changed his life after that & he’s a good man. The good news is that we’re seeing more black QBs & coaches so as these men get into the positions that are leading to head coaching jobs then there will be more black head coaches. Last year the Super Bowl teams each had black QBs. This year 3 of the 4 QBs in the conference title games are black. Over time these stats will catch up on head coaches.
Deep discussion here. Football has typecasted a lot of positions. Quarter back and even kickers are hardly ever black. Especially kickers. I think it would be interesting seeing a black field goal kicker. It wasn’t right that Brian flores was fired for winning games. The nfl needs to rethink their ideology especially with the way they’ve ostracized Collin kapernick and their whole stance against kneeling. Which btw that is a peaceful way to protest.
Hey, I'm doing a persuasive speech on why black head-coaches should be hired more in the NFL and I was wondering if you could link a list/link articles that I could use as references if that's possible, thanks.
It is amazing how historical systemic racism can be present but yet denied. And this is not just in sports as we know, this level of excluding blacks that are superior and skill, Superior and talent, and just Superior overall is played out in every single career field. If it weren't so, then laws regarding such would have never been created such as the civil Rights act. Which is one of the very acts that's been targeted in this upcoming presidential administration to get rid of

Here after the firing of Jerod Mayo smh
Loved the video but you misused how "theory" is used in psychology.
