Why does this sound better than an m5 competition
Cause it has uneven firing order just like any traditional V8 we love to hear, unlike BMW's M V8.

@@davidmitchell5638 The new M8 competition almost sounds like a proper V8 but they are slowly coming by. I think the F10 M5 has the best V8 sound of the M cars when a loud exhaust is attached

Nope. M50i models sounds better , and with a cheap tune they sound amazing , like real old v8's
yo BMW is the only car manufacturer that can offer non-sports car with V8 inside, and that’s great. Not everyone wants 600 hp under the hood

Remember that the majority of the sound you hear is fake... so yeah, what you hear sounds sweet, but it’s not 100% real.

Great car but doesn't sound good for a V8. I guess its because the new petrol particulate filter?
Engine sound through the speakers + n63 isn’t the best sounding v8 to start with. Plenty of power though.

The pops and crackles are not as good as a V8 should have

Dude you will not hear the pure exhaust till you set the car at sports plus as well drive transmission not neutral for the love God stop this launching the car you’ll reck the gear box.
Very nice car, only this awful virtual cockpit...
It looks far better in real life in my opinion especially the steering wheel and Nav and Entainment unit is great. Heater everywhere.
Fake sound
Why the engine always connected to the gearbox even when release the acceleration pedal ? This will consume a lot fuel exhausts the engine and restrects movement of the vehicle
Saperate the the engine from the gear when i leave the acceleration pedal and begin to connect it when i push the pedal
As manual transmission manual transmission wins in all the ways
With the car going into neutral everytime you let go of the accelerator you would lose some control of the car as it would be more unbalanced. Further more engaging and disengaging the gears so many times would not be good for the car mechanically compared to just leaving it in gear. Furthermore there would be less engine braking with gear disengaged and would cause more strain on the brakes when trying to slow down.
