to be honest I just think capcom are being lazy all they needed to do was subtitle the newer games cause people outside of Japan are still importing this game. I mean if koei can get away with just subing their warriors series idk why capcom can't do the same for basara.

This is by far my favorite dynasty warriors styled game. i like it even better than hyrule warriors and orochi warriors. it sucks that theres no English version of this game

I ordered this game via an online shop and omg it is so worth it. I love the anime, totally enjoyed SB3: Samurai Heroes.. This is better than Dynasty warriors. The battle system is superb, the music is beautiful and man, each characters has their own personality and style. I barely understand this game due to my very poor knowledge of Japanese language, but I'm really really having fun despite of it. Capcom should show this masterpiece to the world.
Can you still navigate through the game without any English text ? Or is that a problem ? I want to get this so bad but I'm afraid I'm gonna get stuck somewhere because I won't understand any of the text

This proves Masamune is perfect for MVC: Infinite's roster his Basara can easily be a lv.1 or lv.2 Hyper combo and his Giga Basara easily fits the requirements of a lv. 3 Hyper Combo. And just the fast-paced nature of Sengoku Basara's gameplay can easily be translated to a fighting game like MVCI.
Well, there is a fighting game based around the Sengoku Basara 2 storyline and it was done by Arc System Works. It's also come to light that Masamune was planned for Tatsunoko vs Capcom Cross Genertaion of Heroes but eventually dropped to save time during development.

Sengoku Basara games are all about the rule of cool and make everything over the top and flashy and using only stuff that would be used in war and make it outrageously impossible to do normally. Dynasty Warriors game, in particular 8, take's normal everyday objects and turns them into a weapon, like the chair, or the rake, or the pool cue, and so on and so forth. That being said some weapons that DW makes are just awesome, like the Wing Blades such an awesome weapon. Both side have their good points and bad points both are exceptional in their own ways neither really 'outdo' the other.
I like him because his style and his op iconic phantom dive with war dance, but i gotta admit kenshin uesugi is the best character in basara because of his counter skill and freezing time.(don't forget how fast he is)
Yoshimoto, Ranmaru, and Nouhime are presumably dead in this iteration, though Ranmaru and Nouhime do appear in a cutscene as cameos (doesn't explain why Hideyoshi and Nobunaga to be alive despite being killed in 3 tho). Itsuki is the only one who didn't die but not in this game, as well as Miyamoto Musashi, who is in this game as a roulette boss, Ujimasa Hojo, who went missing for some reason, and Kotaro having no other option but to work for Hisahide in order to find him, and Xavi (St. Francis Xavier), who is said to have already left Japan at this point, leaving his number 1 disciple Otomo Sorin (the one with the tank head) to further spread "Xavism" throughout the country. There's also another one whose name I forget, who was killed by Mitsuhide (now known as Tenkai in 3 and this game) alongside Yoshimoto who was shot in the head by Nobunaga during his conquest in the anime. Gotta admit, the timeline of this series is confusing lol

The voice acstress for Itsuki , the ice kid you mentioned is sadly gone, due to cancer or something. No idea why they didn't add the other châracters such as Noh and Ranmaru but instead replace them with new characters
Sengoku basara (SB) lets imagination run wild, making their characters far more interesting than SM. Sengoku musou (SM) tried to be more historically acurate, but failed as new characters include inappropriately-dressed giggly highschool girls, start shooting lasers and conjuring magic. It's tough designing characters, as SB and SM want to avoid issue of plagiarism. Both may have good common ideas, but due to competitor implemented it earlier, they are forced to use less suitable one.

Four of those characters, along with Ranmaru and Nohime, were confirmed dead so it's unlikely they will ever return in another game. Ujimasa Hojo seems to have been entirely replaced by Kotaro Fuma, even if he isn't dead. Itsuki was mentioned in 3/Utage but who knows if she'll ever return to being playable. It's something I'd like to see. Either that, or one Basara game that includes every past playable character as part of the playable roster.
Maria says "Warawa o tanoshimasenasai" which the most close translation would be "Entertain me." and Oichi say something close to "Nemuru kuru itai nemuru ta kurohi" but I can't say what that means. Sorry >< But 'nemuru' means sleep and itai is 'hurts' then I guess she says something like "If sleeping hurts, then you need to sleep" buuuut I can be completely wrong ^^ But Maria's line I'm sure I'm right.
