Well I’m delighted to know, see & learn that you’ve arrived safely in Tonga 😊 and experienced such a wonderful reception. The video well-documented how sailing over great distances exposes the hull to many unwanted freeloaders😊 Yet, even I felt reassured by the outstanding boat work carried out by the locals. I’m so very happy for you that the stopover has worked out so well. Congrats Jacky🙂 fair-winds🌴
So Allen is still there. I think his business partner left. It's my understanding that the max the trailer is rated for is 30 tons, but they put a limit of 25 tons that they would pull out. Is that still the same? Our current boat is 27 tons if we empty all the tanks. I guess we could always go to Fiji if it wasn't an emergency. Good luck on your trip to NZ. That is a dangerous leg.
Nice people there in Tonga! getting in and out of the boat you have been blessed with long legs1 It is a amazing what sticks to the bottom of the boat and propeller!
Hi hi.
Another great video, thank you :) So he didn't have to do any scraping ? She looks great now with a clean bum, and will be much faster :) Hope you had an enjoyable sail to Fiji. John.
Hi Peter. That's a positive way of looking at it. I was really happy that I had my boat hauled out in Tonga. So now I am able to cruise around in NZ with a clean hull.
so how many single handlers have you meet crossing the South Pacific this year? Usually it's just 1 or 2. When I did it I think there were just 2 of us. You have joined a special club.
There are scary moments, for example when a big squall hits. The passage from Bonaire to SanBlas Islands was scary because of the big winds and I was not able to reef because of the big waves. The passage to Tonga was scary to, because they predicted 4 meter waves. And the passage to New Zealand was not scary, but thinking about how dangerous it can be created some scary thoughts. But all and all, I am super happy

Hi Anna. I saw it a couple of days ago and answered you. Thanks for your messages!
Is there a spot available in your fan club? You are inspirational!
Hi Allen. Yes there is! Welcome and thanks.

Hi Franklin. I met a couple of single handers. A gentleman and a lady, single handing, in their eighties! And then another four or five I guess.
:)

hi Jacqueline I am Xavier from Barcelone, city of copa America ships, where are you go now? New Zeland maybe?
Hi Xavier. Nice to hear from you. I just arrived in Opua, New Zealand. There I will be staying for the cyclone season.
Place to buy yacht of people who gave up on cruising.
Hi Peter. I can imagine that. Although I didn't see any boats for sail in Tonga.
The trip to NZ is not all that safe so harness on~ I am concerned!
Hi Rolf. Your correct, it can be a dangerous trip. I was harnassed on and arrived safely in NZ. Thanks!
@@sailingloveworkx Great! I was worried! But you know the Dutch! Smile
I do not know if the ZEN girl like you have found your self but after that trip you have no fear? A little?
