Cadet is known for his storytelling. He has other songs where he focuses more on his bars. This must of been confusing to listen to because you haven’t heard the previous tracks and freestyles he wrote. I don’t know if you the lyrics up instead of the visuals but for this joint it would of been a lot easier to understand what he trying to do.
Love from UK 🇬🇧
Understood this one perfectly fine (we had the lyric video up). The context was pretty clear and straight to the point. The writing and the delivery were simply lacking in our opinions.
Lost In Vegas nah that’s cool man, appreciate that guys. Could you do Devlin F64 on Sbtv? It’s quite short but the wordplay and bars are flames 🔥
This was a shit song. Lulz
Lost In Vegas He called himself slut btw so idk if ya'll understood it and i understand that u lot are looking at artistery and creativity but venting and showing emotions in a poetic way is quite the achievement in itself. Bringing a story is not all about bars rather than being about painting a vivid and memorable picture. Nonetheless TY for your reaction!
Rest in peace Cadet 💔❤😩
I think the next uk vid should be krept last night in Lagos 🔥🔥🔥
Deffo!
React to
Wretch 32 - His & Hers (perspectives)
Sjay _warrior YES YES YES
this next please
YES!!! They gotta do this!
i have been saying this since it dropped.
Was literally about to comment this
Cadet is a very personal rapper, he always shares very intimate details about his life through his raps. This isn’t one his best pieces in terms of writing and I totally agree with you saying he is just venting. I would recommend listening to his Behind Barz freestyles on Link Up TV, his pen work on those is much better whilst still being powerful and poignant emotionally
I’m disappointed in the uk suggestions man. People giving you some good stuff to react to and some absolute trash. React to krept last night in Lagos and then Konan- last night in la next please.
They are a duo but done these two tracks in their own and both are absolutely jaw dropping amazing in their own rights. I’m sorry people are suggesting such shit but do these and you won’t be let down. Love your channel I can’t wait to see these reactions from you.
shaun dean how is this song shit lol
It’s not about that. I believe this song isn’t a good choice for this channel as I think you need to of heard some of his other songs before hearing this.
American people trying to chat lol
If they wanna hear a Krept and Konan song they should listen to either their FITB or Krept - Cold Summer. The latter has a Tupac vibe to it imo
It’s jaw dropping, not draw dropping
Cadet - Stereotype
MerkageMusic been requesting this one for ages now. Plus Bugzy Malone - M.E.N
this one is excellent they should def react to it
Cadet - behind barz 1 and 2
Needed
RIP Cadet
Respect for giving your honest opinion as always, Cadet does a lot of raps like this about his real shit in his life. If you do want some more Cadet, listen to Stereotype which is a real introspective track. Gipset Flow is a load of bars. Other UK stuff to listen to is Krept - Last night in Lagos, Konan - Last night in LA, Avelino (ft Dave) - U can stand up.
The one thing I love about your channel is your honesty towards any genre. So little of the population is open minded to different types of music. You should be proud of the following you have. Now with that being said, I would recommend Righteous Vendetta - Burn.
Cadet was the realest storyteller so its not 'redundant filler' in the track. Its a masterclass at storytelling. Every other reaction to this has loved it. This is the only reaction I've watched who've been so critical of this. Something is off with this reaction, were you watching the video to the song or just the audio version? The video is what makes this one personal and powerful. When he mentioned his song 'slut' you've wrongly assumed the type of song he made. React to 'slut' 'behind barz' 1 & 2 'stereotype' in fact all of his stuff is too real and takes you on a journey with him. Unfortunately Cadet died in a car crash a few months ago. Prayers for his soul and his family.
RIP cadet
I love the fact he didn’t condense the lyrics, that’s part of the genius of it as it’s as if you’re there. It’s a suggestion of real dialogue
Blast past 400k so quick. So Happy for you guys, Fav youtube channel of all time!!!
You guys analyse to much maybe watch the video for this UK stuff it was a freestyle relax bare in depth
R.I.P Cadet 💕
Need to react to Devlin one of the best lyricist in the uk
Good video! I really appreciate reaction content where people actually express their opinion and thoughts about a piece of music. Keep on being genuine LIV(Lost In Vegas). LIV it up.
Billy Talent - Dead Silence
(or any Billy Talent song really, thanks)
It’s cause he’s telling a story through it he’s a story teller and uses rap to produce that and that’s why he has the conversations to engage you and make you feel like he’s talking to you about it
My favorite UA-cam channel hands down!
I just found this channel a couple of days ago..... When I'm not making beats I'm watching your reaction videos!
Really disappointed with the reaction even though I know you guys like the slick shit, but its a true story and hes storytelling so its not supposed to be condensed not mentioning how deep it is. Still though big up I love you guys still.
PLEASE REACT TO KREPT AND KONAN FIRE IN THE BOOTH PART 2 ITS LYRICALLY FUCKING NUTS YOU WONT CATCH 99% OF THE BARS THATS HOW MAD IT IS
Thanks for doing the Uk stuff i know i pressure yous alot for it but i just love you guys and love the uk scene so thanks for taking the time legends you really make me think about music differently
There was so much better UK songs you could have chosen. Dave - Hangman !!!!
Guys seriously, I don’t know why you don’t believe me. Buckethead - Soothsayer. You will love it so much. I would literally pay you to watch it.
I think that this as your first Cadet song is a bit of a mistep. His song Slut was about him being a slut, not the girl. You got it spot on when you said the song is named Closure because it is providing closure to his story of songs he has been releasing, so you would have to listen to his songs Slut, Letter to Krept, and his Behind Barz freestyle. The only way to get the full story is to listen to them all, but on its own, not that amazing of a song. Listen to those songs and then this one, and its an amazing story, hence the title Closure, not even a great music artist in terms of music itself, but the story he told throughout those songs is pretty great. That is most likely why this was recommended.
Thank you guys for always checking out new artists! not only are you guys learning more and more music, but you expose it too all of your fans as well and even when you dont like it the way you have genuine reasons for not enjoying it that you can express clearly and in a way that doesnt come off as hating
Please react to one of these songs!
Pets by Pile is super catchy rock music,
21st Century Schizoid Man by King Crimson is awesome 60's prog
Mr. Finish Line by Vulfpeck is crazy fun minimalist funk
Also happy mothers day to both your moms and your wives/significant others. Love the content.
Hope you both had a great mothers day. Because they are the ones that allow us to be who we are today. On moms we will never let anyone hurt them.
nothing beats the UK beats of MASSIVE ATTACK [Angel, Silent spring, Teardrop, Rush minute, Psyche, The spoils etc]
Kind of annoying how the only UK reactions seem to be Hip Hop.
Yeees. Wasn’t expecting this
Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused to Sing
Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere but not here
Dream Theater - Panic Attack
Keep adding these videos :).
Love your critical views on these songs... so many reviewers getting hyped not listening to the lyrics and others just blindly judging it - even though I agree with where you are coming from I think it's such a shame you have to be so hesitant about disliking a video - suppose its the issue with the UK viewers really, if you disagree with how they feel they kick up a fuss!
yooooooo i'm so glad you did this!! Cadet is literally an underrated legend. Forever Krepts cousin
You must do letter to krept. Then if you want letter to cadet. You don't even need to react. I just think you'll like it
Chip - behind barz!!!!!!!!!!! Flows, bars, personality, cadences
Chip - Darth Vader
Giggs - Talkin tha Hardest or Linguo #FreeThinkers
You guys have the most thoughtful and honest reactions on UA-cam when it comes to music. Most people either think everything is amazing, or just say that they don't like anything. I appreciate that y'all give reasons for your reactions. Even if someone doesn't completely agree with you, your viewpoint makes sense. That being said, I really do think y'all would enjoy Andy Mineo's new EP "The Arrow". It's only about 20 minutes long, and there is DEFINITELY zero filler.
they skipped a lot and don't get it twisted his flow was calm when ur telling such a deep story
SLAYER-ANGEL OF DEATH!!!!!!!!
Surely Cradle of Filth - Her ghost in the fog, has to be next up
Cadet-letter to krept
Krept-letter to cadet
Krept-last night in lagos
Konan-last night in L.A
Tyler Childers- Follow you to virgie
Tyler Childers- nose on the grindstone
Jamey Johnson- in color
Chris knight- down the river
Colter wall- Kate McCannon
Country songs y’all would enjoy reacting to!
I didn't so many dons hated cadet damn 😂
Lost in Vegas Squad! You guys are amazing. I have watched the UK reactions and being a London native and someone who has grown with Garage, Grime and now into this generation of artists, feel that you may not have done Cadet justice here. I really think you would need to understand his story and perhaps try a medley of songs before judging the latest. A good place to start would be Stereotype, and then SLUT, Letter to Krept, Behind Barz and finally this video. Also, a solo theatre are a very niche to the UK artistic eye and although I agree with some of the writing being redundant, the underlying script intention was, in my opinion, Cadet's interpretation of theatre.
Props to you for giving Avelino shine and also Wretch (who I used to pick up mixtapes from outside Hammersmith station in 2006). Wretch is incomparable to any other artist birthed from the London scene and has well deserved his recent ratings. I really think that you should review one of his early mixtapes to understand his raw poetic writing ability. My suggestion would be to start with Teacher's Training Day (it has only 4,000 views on UA-cam) but at 21 Wretch gives you a heartfelt introspective about the ultimate struggle of becoming a Man (then you have the song Punctuation, which put him on the National Map).
I hope this comment reaching you well and hopefully we can see some more appreciation of our art.
Anish
From SW6 to Auckland #Hustle
Rush - Witchhunt
Living Color - Cult of Personality
Faith No More - Ashes to Ashes
it's weird, I've seen a lot of hate on this song, and its annoying because the same people who hate on this song love lil dickys 'pillow talking'. however I do agree that this isn't a true representation of what grime music in the uk is, you need to listen to Dave Santan, AJ Tracy, Krept and Konan for a real representation of grime. :)
FAITH NO MORE--MIDLIFE CRISIS
Love what y’all do! Thanks for the Free Thinking. My 20 yr old mixed daughter was like dad wtf are listening too!! Lmao!! Please review Chris Ledoux this Cowboys hat
Keeping it real,,,,,respect to yall
Glad I've found this channel. You guys obviously have an appreciation for lyricism and have an eclectic taste in music.
I have some 🇬🇧 suggestions for ya if ya don't mind.
GRIME (genre) - Ocean Wisdom, Dirty Goodz, English Frank, R.A.
HipHop- Chester P, Edward Scissor tongue, Cult of the Damned, Coops.
Cheers
You guys liked my last comment!! Cheers!!! Ever listen to old school Do or Die?? Love metal music but damn Do or Die goes HARD
Cadet - Stereotype
Bugzy Malone - M.E.N
Well I was actually getting excited to see you actually review the UK Subs.
cadet is in a group of uk rappers that tell stories in raps, once you see others and understand it you'll better appreciate cadet. Look up Rapman - Blue Story Trilogy, Rapman - Shiros Story, Cadet - Stereotype
Alter Bridge - Isolation (Excellent guitar riffs, strong vocals from Myles Kennedy, a great rocking jam!)
Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction (Good groove that y'all will like. Dave's growling vocals are epic)
Anthrax - Only ( One of their best, good rhythm, strong vocals from John Bush)
MAN YOU COULD BE THOMAS JEFFERSON READING THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE TO THIS BEAT ALL HE WOULD HAVE HEARD WAS CRICKETS
Im soo gassed man, thank you for this reaction.
Joe black - hit em up
Joe black - behind bars take 6

Rest in eternal paradise Cadet🕊
MACHINE HEAD - LOCUST
You guys should check out Bugzy Malone - M.E.N
Machine Head, Descend the Shades of Night
It's always dope finding new artists cause of you thanks bros
Devlin is arguably the best rapper in the UK, you guys need to check him out. Straight lyricism, cold hard facts. He's the OG of the grime scene. No one sends for Devlin. No MC wants any beef with him. He's too cold
Love what you are doing guys, keep the free thinking going on!!!
August burns red - Vital signs
Gojira - Backbone
Dudes...please react/analyse to Cadet - Stereotype. That shits deep.
Cadet- stereotype and letter to krept are the best story's from him
Avelino- long time coming . Avelino- on a roll
Great vid as always guys! Another UK suggestion is ‘My Story’ by Krept & Konan. These guys usually have great wordplay but in this one they are simply telling a story with no trickery, a really emotional story that narrates the music video (about something that actually happened). You won’t have to read lyrics as they are very clear plus the video just adds so much to it.
You guys would do well to not at least get close to teary eyed.
The original song "Slut" actually referred to himself.
Dave- hangman trust me you'll love this gurranteed
Who’s here after cadets sad passing 💭
Immortal Technique-You never know! Worthy of a reaction!
Van Halen - Eruption/You Really Got Me
Nice to see you reaching out to the U.K. So far I see you have been exposed to our more commercial artists. Would love to see you react to some of our underground scene. You know that’s where the real spittas at.
Feel like Need to be watching the video to see the emotion for this track to work
CADET - STEREOTYPE
You should definitely check out groups like Rhyme asylum and The Four Owls, real UK lyrircists, great reaction always big up form the uk
Great reaction guys. This is not the best Cadet track, try Stereotype. You should have reacted to Rapman Shiros story. Great storytelling in a song.
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Red right hand
Please do Clutch- Earth rocker, X ray visions or ask the people for suggestions
Blind Guardian = Imaginations From The Other Side
Nightwish = Ghost Love Score
The Melvins - Honey Bucket
or night goat
Frankly, I don't care what they cover just need to show The Melvins some love
Unleash The Archers - Awakening
yo token dropped a new song called code red i think you should give him another chance cus the only thing u ever reacted to by him was his sway freestyle which he did when he was 17
I don't think you understand this song.. living here in the UK, this sounds creative and good story telling. I think you can't accept the fact that there are more than one way to make a song. Also, removing those line your describe would have ruin the song. You are analysing too much and not listening to the style of delivering this song.
K.a.a.n. - Ups and Downs. His flow is insane
Wretch 32 - His & Hers is a must!!!
Cadet stereotype is something else man
Y'all are the best! Keep promoting open minds and great music across all genres! I love how you're open minded even when you're being critical - that's rare.
Some artists/tracks you might like:
Powerman 5000 - When Worlds Collide (Hard rock/metal, super underappreciated band)
Marilyn Manson - Fight Song or Great Big White World
Dwight Yoakam - Guitars, Cadillacs (country/hillbilly)
dont let this put you off cadet heses a punchline king trust me this was just a diffrent kind of rap we have in the uk its not made to impress just to make feel like your in the situation with him
ICED EARTH👏👏👏ICED EARTH👏👏👏ICED EARTH👏👏👏ICED EARTH👏👏👏it's time now to go TRAVELING IN STYGIAN🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
REST IN PEACE CADET!!!!
This is definitely what I expected from you guys, cadet is a story teller like rapman and your being over critical about the rap itself which is very interesting because that’s what I would expect from non rap listeners! But it is what it is .....
RIP CADET ❤️
Another great artist from the UK is Jay Prince. He's very similar to Isaiah Rashad. I recommend "Polaroids" or "I Believe in You"
Pretty much agreed with you guys on this. As a metal-head, I usually go for the instrumentals first, then the lyrics. So for me to get into a rap song, I look for a good beat and a good flow. I was always a big fan of Method Man Red Man Blackout! But this just didn't grab me.
Lost In Vegas, “ You Never Even Called Me By My Name” David Allen Coe.
Love this channel lads. The UK requests have been trash though, can you please just do this song so we can show you some u.k lyricists. Devlin- something in the water. Or low-key fire in the eboith part 1. Pleaaase 😂
