Trunk: First aid kit attached to trunk wall with Velcro. Auto emergency kit in a carrying case also attached to side wall. Small bin to contain smaller shopping packages. 2. Driver side door pocket: 2 umbrellas, flashlight. 3. Center Console closed compartment: hand sanitizer, wipes, tissue, Altoid mints, pen and note pad, tire air gauge, mini car duster, small cloth shopping bag - folds into small snapped pouch, sunglasses for Mom (95). 4. Dash compartment; cell phone charger, lanyard for keys, sunglasses for Dad (95). 5. Sunglass compartment in roof: garage door opener velcroed in place- and spare clip-on sun glasses for me. 6. Glove box: 2 music CD wallets, road map, emergency tool/grip - serves as an extra handle assist for my parents and it can also be used to smash a window, cut a seatbelt and has a built-in flash light. 🔲 Tips: ✔️Before getting in car - I pack water bottles for each person in the car. (From the garage fridge.) If I'm going shopping - I pack cloth/insulated shopping bags. If I'm going on a road trip: blanket, pillow and snacks. ✔️When I exit the car: all trash goes with me. ✔I never leave items in plain view in my unattended car. All my purchases go straight to my trunk. I don’t like things sliding around inside my car. ✔We keep a sticker on the upper left corner of the windshield with the date of the last oil change - and the mileage for the next oil change. When my odometer reading indicates I'm close - I plan an oil change. I actually snap a picture of the mileage and the sticker as a prompt to remind me to plan the oil change. ✔I keep a note in my financial tracker to remind me when my car's inspection/registration is due. (VIN and plate numbers recorded there also.) ✔️Car freshener… my favorite is the Yankee Candle Leather scent. I also use a Moso Natural Air Purifying Bag. A Scent Free Odor Eliminator for Cars, Closets, Bathrooms, Pet Areas. Premium Moso Bamboo Charcoal Odor Absorber. (I hang these in my closets too.)
Kay, jumper cables are passé. You need to get a jump start battery. You like tech, so I think you would love this. First, you don’t need some stranger to show up and be willing to help, and second, they can charge your phone and usually have a built in flashlight, too. I got my mom one. She had to use it once and it worked like a charm. (OK, my dad hooked it up, but still.) Definitely look into it! 👍🏻😊
I recommend trunk organizers. I have a fold up one and it really helps keep my trunk from getting cluttered with grocery bags and car supplies. I also keep a first aid ⛑️ kit in my car. As well as, jumper cables, car wheel air pump, and oil bucket/tray for oil changes. For safety, I recommend getting a window breaker, seat belt cover, all in one gadget and putting it in your glove compartment or center console. It comes in handy in an emergency.
I love a clean car. How do they get so dusty? The best investment I ever made was buying custom cut mats for my trunk area and floor mats. They are like the one you have in the truck. I pull them out and wash them seasonally. All that dirt, salt from the winter, and sand just washes away instead of being trapped in the carpet mats. I had a bottle of liquid laundry detergent leak on the way home from the store and I was so glad I could easily hose it off. Now I need to reorganize my stuff like you did!
The car is Very Much Not Clean, but it does contain a first aid kit, jumper cables, blankets for the kids, an air pressure thing. I don’t really see what the boot organiser could do for us, but these seat hooks are Genius. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the video. I love your content! I use plastic stadium cups in my side door cup holders for non-food trash. Then my favorite hack is to use solo cups as an organizer in my console to coral all my miscellaneous stuff. It works great and then I can see everything!

I use free makeup bags to organize my car essentials. It keeps things organized, plus if something leaks, or spills, it doesn't get all in my center console, or glove box.
My car is pretty organized but dirty. I have been wanting to clean the inside for a few weeks. I keep all my shopping bags in there, along with a rolling milk crate for when I go to the farmer's market every week. I also keep first aid, wipes, masks, a dog leash (no joke I have had 2-3 times I have needed one because of finding dogs wandering), extra emergency blankets, and hand warmers. The latter come in handy in the winter if a houseless person asks me for help. I can give cash plus some extra warmth. This summer I'll be keeping extra water in the car as well. Oh! Something else which I got last year is a little garbage bin which hands off the back of the seat. I also keep a small fire extinguisher in its side pocket.
My car is clean at all times because it makes me feel good. My husband and I are intentionally trying to make our cars last as long as possible. I’ve had my car over 9 years and we always receive compliments on how it looks like a new one. ☺️ Plus it just feels good when the car is clean and organized. ~Denise

Funny you should mention Dyson maintenance, I just disassembled and cleaned our old (about 15 years) Animal vacuum, right down to the interior of the wind tunnel. The newer one just got the recommended cleaning.
Oof. I really need to clean my car. I'm a dog trainer that travels to people's homes, so my entire job is in my car! I have to not only have crates for my dogs and all the safety equipment for keeping them comfy in the car (reflective window covers, bug nets, battery fan, etc) but also all the stuff I need to take to appointments like my fake dogs, barriers, toys, any weird props for socialization, etc. It's a hot mess. Particularly as it's just a Subaru crosstrek!

I am a step behind…clearing truck to take items household waste drop off! Begone expired non-prescription medications, old make up, old paint, old electronics, etc! After that, I will do some car cleaning!

Extra jacket / beach sandals in case my shoes hurt or a pedicure A cosmetic bag with pens/ sharpie/ post it / stamps / blank cards / measuring tape / scotch tape notebook/ mini stapler / rubberbands/ binder clips Anytime you have a gift or need to take notes or mail out something All my stuff is in cardboard boxes that paper comes in so I can easily remove it in 2 min . I also keep an extra to transport cooked food or messy items so i it contains the mess and I can trash the box

I have a 1998 Ford Mustang and unfortunately Tuesday we had a dead tree fall on top of my car and totaled it. We had just put over $1000 in it putting in a new water pump, power steering pump and new driver side door hinges. I’m so sad because it only had liability on it so it’s just a piece of metal with all the glass smashed everywhere. Your car looks beautiful!
MY CAR! The Panini has turned my car into a rusted storage locker! The tire is flat and the battery has been dead for two years now, she serves a good purpose as an extra storage space for donations and (non-temp sensitive) holiday storage. I was so grossed out by the amount of settled crud from sitting for so much time after my last donation run, you'd be surprised! Thank you for the reminder to clean out our functioning car! ❤️ ❤️

They sell hooks that just clip around the headrest post so you just slide it in place. I bought some years ago on Amazon but I can’t find the link/name.

Oooo, I didn't know not to use dryer sheet with my microfiber cloths. My car is not a hot mess, but can use a vacuum and dusting.
