Thank you for putting this out there, I am looking into trying out Saddle Hunting this year. I have watched several of your video's on this subject and once again, I want to say thanks you.
Great video. The 2 panel saddles are popular with those who like to sit a lot while hunting. It would be good for those long hunts of 4+ hours to all day hunts. The extra panel helps to distribute the body weight and reduce pressure points.
This video convinced me. I’m new to saddle hunting and doing the deep dive of learning everything I can so I can make the best choice. Ordered my buzzard roost saddle yesterday. Just waiting for my custom order form email, unfortunately the BR crew is after new years for customs. Thanks so much for this video. I’ve learned so much from your videos. Keep it up.
Thanks for another comprehensive video Greg. My buzzard roost with detachable bridge is in the mail. Looking forward to being back in the trees and in hanging in the lap of luxury!
Told Benny over a year ago when he came to our first try before you buy event that he has a saddle that's a top contender in the same market. Add you're correct Benny is an awesome guy!
I've owned 6 saddles total in the past 5 years, 4 of which have been 2 panels and the buzzards roost has been the most comfortable and easy to walk in with of all of them.
There are so many great saddles on the market today, it comes down to personal preference. For years my preference was New Tribe aero hunter saddles. I currently own two and love them both. Both are two panels. I use the Merlin for warmer days and the Kestrel for cooler weather. I like the webbing style bridge on the Merlin better. I just recently ordered a Lone Star 2.0 from TX 5 Custom Gear. I have various components from Tethyrd. I just ordered the Knaider Swaider from Backwoods. This saddle hunting and gear can get addictive especially when we watch professional hunters like yourself come up with great gear combos. 'GOTTA BE LIKE MIKE" mentality.
I agree 100% - with the exception of calling me a pro hunter. I’m just a normal dude who hunts a LOT. All over-the-counter, all public land, all DIY. Getting back to your point … I’m going to do a video on the Lonestar 2.0 soon and that will be my last saddle “review” ever, more than likely - because I wholeheartedly agree with you. New Tribe made some phenomenal saddles as well, and I enjoyed working with and getting to know Sophia, Casey and the rest of the gang before they turned in the keys.
I agree, ran the buzzard roost all last season. I haven’t been in every saddle available so I’m not in a position to say it’s the best but I can say it’s definitely one of the best I’ve used.
Wish I would’ve seen this before I bought a Latitude Method 2! I’ve not heard one bad thing about a Buzzard saddle. I see one in my future lol thanks as always Staggs!
@@jonathanhoward1497 there’s nothing, I dislike, the magnets that hold the two panels together and the metal free waist belt and bridge is awesome. When the panels are together for walking in and out, it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a huge diaper like every other saddle I’ve had feels like, it’s a very minimalist feeling.
The Overwatch Transformer saddle achieves the same as this one, but without the fuss. It is automatic. I am pretty sure BR is trying to mimic the Trasformer given the 4 contact supports and the way the panels adjust. There not a more comfortable 2 panel or better built saddle than the Overwatch. It would be awesome if you gave it a review.
Hard to go wrong with either, honestly. You wouldn’t regret either one you went with. I like the Buzzard Roost better than the pleated saddles, but that’s just me.
Yes... if not, it'll be darn close. I was on a video call today with the owner of the production facility making these for us and things are tracking very well.
@@StaggsintheWild thanks man for the update but I still come home from work everyday and check the mail just hoping it’s here lol good luck this season and keep up what your doing working guys like me that hunt pressured public land stand behind you and back you 100%
Man you absolutely can’t go wrong with a Cruzr in the least but I’m still giving the nod to the Buzzard Roost. Probably top 3 for me would be - 1, TX5 Lonestar 2.0; 2, Buzzard Roost; 3, Cruzr. That’s out of all the saddles I’ve tried. The only major manufacturer I have not tried is Latitude.
Thats great that you really like the comfort! Thank you for your honesty! Good to see you again! Good luck with everything my friend!

Excellent video!! Buzzard roost saddles are fantastic!!

Definitely an extremely comfortable saddle! Built rock solid too!

The tender is a great idea, should be standard on all saddles , great review 😊
Best saddles around. Benny understands the game and knows how to bring ideas to life.

How are you liking your Method 2. Is there anything in particular you dislike?

Nice review! 👍

I’m super curious to see this saddle vs the Lonestar 2
The next video that’s coming … 👍

Cruzr XC or this buzzard roost if you had to choose? I’m stuck on choosing

Hey man great video... question on the stag pack is it still on schedule for shipping second week of August. Thanks in advance for responding

What saddle will you be hunting from this year? Very nice saddle I like my wood hunters saddle better🤙🏼
Mostly my TX5 Lonestar 2.0 but the Buzzard Roost will definitely be seeing its fair share of tree time, for sure. Next week’s video is on the new TX5.

@@StaggsintheWildI was thinking of getting the Lonestar 2.0….Should I wait for the New TX5?
@@Rdizzy36 the 2.0 is their newest one; that’s the one I was referring to. 👍
This vs Cruzr?

You tried overwatch outdoors?
@@thatguyfishingben4794 I have not
Holy cow I would be so frustrated climbing with all the extra feathering and lines and things to worry about in the dark…
Are you saying “openable” bridge?
Yes
Looks cool. It's gonna take alot to get me outta my timber ninja. Most comfortable saddle on the market to me
which one?
