I’ve been watching this channel for ages and just realised how much I take for granted the great production quality and general excellence! Great work Sarah!
Gian Paolo Gliori thanks, I bust my ass more than I probably should!
100% need a Spec.B version of this car!
I like your picture 😆
Love my 08 Spec B, super sleepy. 😴
@@ryuhadouken1404 i like my legacy ble ez30 245hp and 6MT, it realy faster car, new subaru with CVT make me sad
The lack of spec B/ GT version of this car anymore is why I am still rocking my 2010 LGTL. When it dies, it gets an STi engine.
@@ryuhadouken1404 same here hehehe
I bought the XT Touring. I absolutely love it. Is it an STi? Nope. Is it A4/A5? Nope. It’s awesome inside. It’s deceptively fast. I love mine. Just hit the 1,000 mile mark.
Your trunk bit took me back to your video where you popped out of the trunk and shouted "Hi, I'm Scotty KIlmer's daughter!!!". I laughed for a week. You do such a good job of reviewing - keep up the great work.
Another really entertaining review, as is all of your content. @ 7:46 when you said “ That’s why I love these FA series engines”...the ”FA series” part of that sentence activated the “Hey Siri” function on my phone. Now even inanimate objects are enjoying and listening to you!! Thanks. Enjoy the week.
Great horn rimmed glasses during “Garage Science “. Great review. Keep doing you!!
Great production values. You do some really great reviews. You put lot of work in editing and it shows.
“I just killed something, did you hear that?” Hilarious!! Great review. Thanks for taking these reviews on a different path, refreshing.
What you buy when your spouse wants a safe family sedan, and you want something with a bit of spirit.
And you can't afford an Audi A4.
@@chooseymomschoose actually top line of the legacy costs as much as an Audi A4 and it is thousand times better
Can I just say I appreciate your nails in each video! That and I also always appreciate every single awkward comment you make through the video, they aren't actually awkward, they are just very you and its part of what makes me keep coming back!
I agree with your assessment of the CVT. It should at least give you the option to not fake shift. That way you can feel the full sling shot effect! Instead, you get just enough to tease but not enough to please.
I agree with you about putting fake shifts into a CVT car.
The beauty of the CVT is that it is CONSTANTLY IN the ideal ratio.
I love the humor in this review. Keep up the good work.
Subaru should definitely have a Spec B version
Thanks for all the joy you bring!
What's to say. I see Sarah n tuned, I click. Thanks Sarah
The Bolster wiggle always makes my day :)
XT XT YESSSSS😍🤗 might be my next Subaru Sarah !!!
I ordered a 2022 model with no test drive (dealers just didn't have any!) largely thanks to this review. Took five months to get here, but really appreciated your insight.
Sarah, you are so funny. I enjoy watching your reviews, you give the cars that you drive so much character!
This was one of the most entertaining reviews I’ve seen. Sarah, you ARE THE BEANS! ;)
Fun enjoyable review. Nice job Sarah.
I’m on my 7th Subaru. My last and present one is the 2018 50th Anniversary Legacy Limited. I like it’s design over the 2021. I will stick with it until I see a New Design. The ‘21 is Bland by comparison to mine. The Harmon Kardon Sound system is incredible, 576 watts 12 Speakers, 2 of which are sub woofers. It’s incredible. I’ve broke 40 mpg on road trips which is very surprising ! I think this CVT IS THE best in the business, although I’d like to see a 7 spd auto transmission in the future. Thanks Sarah, great review !
Entertaining review as always👏👏👏
It dances...l lol when you said that. Really liked the whole video!
I love a good wagon / hatchback myself, which is why I daily a 2015 Outback 3.6r. I do love the new 2020 models, and I’m with you on the CVT not needing the fake shift all sorts of people cry about the CVT not feeling right. So now auto manufacturers put in fake shifts and they tune the CVT to try to keep engine RPMs low. All of that takes away from efficiency but it makes the crybaby auto journalists from the car magazines happy, as well as all the arm chair UA-cam viewers that also like to complain about CVTs.
Great review, I love Subaru Legacy, I want one. I have 2012 Subaru Legacy 2.5i premium and I love it! 😊👍🏼
CVTs are great. Only people who didn't try Subaru's cvt can say otherwise. It's smoothest transmission in city traffic by far, and you can always go manual mode and shift it like it was manual (though i don't see any need to do that, as it works flawlessly)
I love Sarah's breaking tests.
I mean braking
Breaking Tests. Don't give her any ideas!
can't go wrong with a subie. I've owned seven and refuse to own any other bland
You can say this again. Best rides ever
*Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Chevy, and Ford* want to know your location...
3 Chevy Trucks hauled my ass sinse 1986.. That would take 6 or 7 Subarus to equal... Subarus are under built and weak. In New England Subarus melt away in a rust ball....
@@billbry is a Chevy dealer.
Glad to get your take on my future car. They are in short supply so I had to order one. 1 April is the delivery date. White with black leather interior. I have no issues with the CVT and when merging onto the freeway or passing vehicles the acceleration gets me there quickly.
First time watcher of your videos...you are hilarious!...I've subscribed as I'm already addicted😂
with a 5 or 6 speed manual transmission 👍🏻
Thank you Sarah i love your reviews they are never boring you could put out a video every day and it still would not be enough to satisfy your viewers i think you could make a video about washing dishes and all your subscribers would watch
Sarah, your reviews are always entertaining and informative. First time I've ever heard a design feature described as an "ass beard" though. Maybe that will soon become design language? Also, you're borrowing a chapter from Scotty Kilmer with the trunk scene. Glad to see the penguin survived the last car review you did. Keep up the great work.
Yes a Spec B would be nice with 6speed . Love the science look . So beautiful.
Yes Subaru should make a new spec-B as well as a new Baja truck
Spec B Baja lol
• Benjamɪn • actually that sounds kinda cool a Baja spec-B turbo
Nice review! Thank you!
Wish they would get away from the CVT
Old school crawler The XTs and the WRX could borrow a variation of the 6 speed auto from the BRZ. Keep the CVT in slow cars to help with gas mileage though.
@@skateboard987654321 they could do that, the slower cars usually go off road more, have you seen how horrible the cvt is off road
I agree CVT is killing all vehicles, they tend to break very easy
A properly built and tuned CTV transmission is faster than any manual or auto. It does not shift, it stays in the peak power band and never drops off of boost. What they do in cvt's in production model cars is not the best variant of a cvt transmission at all. If someone was able to tune out the 'shifts' of this xt model, it could be really fast.
Get rid of the CRT and replace it with DCT or automatic. Sales will increase with the change.
When you opened the trunk I was waiting for you to say "now if you don't want to miss any of my car repair videos..." 😅 Scotty Kilmer approved 👍🏻 Great job on your videos Sarah.
I purchased a 2021 legacy touring XT nice car! Love it like you say. When I stepped on mine, it made a strange chime sounds as I floored it!
Absolutely would love a Spec B version.
You’re on a real nice roll with these car reviews yes a sport version would be cool as competition is almost always a good thing tech is king especially when it’s done well. 4 cookies I think that’s the highest yet if my cookie count is accurate that is a lot of car for the money and a Subaru to boot.
The Legacy is a very surprising sedan Sarah, and I love what Subaru has done with it. I'm a bit odd, so beige (especially Porsches) cars appeal to me, so I was really digging the exterior color on your test car.👍 That infotainment system looks incredible too BTW.
I looked at one yesterday. Hopefully I can get approved for a loan. I test drove one and really liked it a lot. It’s not the limited trim it’s the premium. Only one I can afford. Thank you for reviewing this Sarah.
I had a 05 Subaru GT Limited that thing was awesome when it was Stage 2 put down 295whp and it ended up with a 12.79 in the 1/4 mile. By comparison my 08 STI I replaced it with was also Stage 2 with 318whp and my best time with that was a 12.75 in the 1/4. I think it was because of the Legacy only having a 5 speed.
You look into the VB WRX yet? Everyone made fun of it because of the plastic cladding, but its power train is turning out to be a beast. Subaru could have easily factory tuned it to 380hp. I can only imagine what the STI version would be like had they not committed to making the next WRX STI electric :,(
Great review. I have an Ascent and I have the same gripes about the drivetrain. The simulated shifts are driving me nuts!
Sarah, your outfit is on point. Nicely done and very elegant ❤
One of a few reviewers who actually understand what a CVT is and how it should work.
Great review . . . big Subaru fan . . .
Thanks for the review! Great review! I'm a Subaru fan to and I'd love to see them get away from the nursing home image. Here in Norway we have Petter Solberg, me and the old ppls driving Subs.
Really love that legacy....
And you look amazing...
Thxs..
Legacy gt has always been a sleeper. Its the one of the most fun cars I've owned, and yes to a spec b
"If you have a CVT...let it act like a CVT..." Hallelujah. I think if we'd all been driving CVT's for the last 60 years, or so when stepped gear transmissions were introduced, there would be loud complaints about the abrupt gear changes they imposed on the driving experience. Personally, I'm not a fan of either CVT's or conventional torque converter AT's. I prefer a DCT. But the good news about CVT's is they're more fuel efficient and offer the potential of better performance than the torque converter alternative. And unlike the latter they can be tuned with software rather than by replacing gear sets. They're by no means perfect but they're getting better. And the bottom line is that their advantages mean they'll be further improved as development continues.
Actually only after switching from DSG to subaru's CVT i understood how horrible DSG is. The constant kicks and harsh switching on low gears in traffic are finally over for me.
@@ozzless Different strokes for different folks. I prefer VW's excellent dual clutch DSG over either a traditional torque converter or a manual transmission.
There’s great versions of all the types of transmissions, and there’s bad examples of each also. Having a preference of any quality Gearbox no matter the type, allows one to enjoy the benefits of each.
Sara says “It looks like it should be parked in front of a nursing home” 😂😂😂
Sarah, could you do a review of the 2020 Forester touring please? Love your videos, keep them coming!!
Afternoon, fine Abandoned Warehouse Sarah. 👍🏻
I love your sometimes (most of the time) unenthusiastic demeanour. It just makes me laugh!
Thank you Sara, your right about it needing a new shift program, should be easily fixed by a tune.
Subaru has historically produced Legacies that are B-Spec and STi (like the S401 I still own), even Forester STi’s but they never reached the US market.
Love it; ass beard! What do you know about the head gasket problem with the Subaru? Especially the 6 cylinder.
I have fallen in love with the Wrx Manual Transmission . Dreaming of buying it.
I really like the dash and door design. The infotainment is pretty cool too. I like wagons and hatches too. Is a liftback like the old Mazda 6 or Renault Safrane a hatch or sedan?
The only people who hate Subaru's ,are the one that have not driven one yet.
I like CVT except when it does a power cut to do a fake shift.
absolutely yes legacy sti for the winnnnnn
We have a Sub and love it! they do make great cars!
I was cruising through Kanas in fast lane on Rt 70 in the Outback, looked down, running 92 mph!
My Touring XT version will arrive in a few weeks, can't wait!!! :D
Got my 2020 limited XT with the extra options back in mid December and its a great car
I have a 2015 legacy non turbo and I like the car it puts out good power and I kind of like the cvt because the shifts are smooth
Underrated daily driver 🔥🔥
Yes Sarah it would be great. Only and Only if they give rid of the CVT. I'd like to see a DCT. That'd be great.
Jason ME you mean a true manual
Really need a SpecB, love the interior
Subarus have has that same dome light housing since 2005. My '06 Outback Sedan (Legacy) has it and so does my '17 WRX....... the armrest extension too.
The funniest is the heated seat switch from the 2020 wrx is exactly the same as the one in the 1994 legacy
Good video Sarah! So what happened with you partnering with TFL? Was it just a one time thing?
Long time viewer, first time commenter. Any Volvos in the press pool?
Interweb peep here! Thanks for making my day with the most entertaining car reviews on UA-cam. 2.5 cookies for the fingernails!
Hi Sarah how are you love your Subaru reviews as well as all of your other videos but can you try to review a Subaru ascent next.
Keep up the good work
Thanks.
Hey Sarah, Could you measure the lateral g force when cornering by temporarily installing a pendulum which swings side to side. I bet there is an app for this on mobile phones.
This would be a numerical measure of the cornering force.
Oh yeah SUBARU XT SPEC-B baby!!!
I was thinking of trading in the WRX for something a little more comfortable, but after seeing this I think I'll wait and see what else hits the market. Thanks for the review.
Hell yeah, STI Legacy!
4th gen Legacy GT was 🔥🔥🔥
Richie G still have mine and it’s amazing
I like your bathrobe!
I have a 15 Forester with eye sight. Last year with just a radio no info center which is fine by me (less distraction). Love the eye sight that was the sell point for me.
Totally yes Subaru should have a spec B or GT model since Toyota owns 20% of Subaru now!!
This car looks much better in motion than standing still. Not bad either way. An important car for Subaru. I can't wait to see the FA24 powered STI!
I think Subaru should make an all out model of the legacy - along the lines of the once top of the range SVX. However, they should throw all of the technology that have accumulated over the years to make a winning formula car.
Agree about the CVT. It’s stupid to have the fake shifts. It’s only there because people have been taught that hard shifting equals fast acceleration
I’m watching Sarah in specs & I’m all smiles, is it still about the subie or Sarah? 🙂
I have a Kia Optima SX turbo and it goes pretty good I think it has around 290hp. I like the car pretty much it has about 156000 miles on it and still going strong
I'm on my eleventh Subaru.......guess I love them too!!😉
Gorgeous, the car is pretty nice too.
I bought a new 2018 Outback Premium and took 2 week 4900 mile road trip out west from Ohio, it was comfortable ride , covered alot territory, saw alot of shit.
The Car Goddess speaks!
Hey there Sarah! You do a great job doing all of your car review videos. I wanted to make a recommendation that you test drive a brand new 2021 Subaru Impreza Hatchback Sport model with the 5-speed manual transmission. If you can't get your hands on that perhaps the Limited model with the CVT. Keep up the awesome work and positivity!
======>>> I LOVE the "ocean blue pearl" exterior paint color option they have available for the Impreza, too! :-)
SARAH you are amazing. subru needs a sarah spec car
Subaru should definitely make a STI or Spec B version of the Legacy
Sarah I couldn't stop laughing. thanks for the video, entertaining. This is a great car IMHO.
Love the quirky way you loo at these car . High five
Your happiness helps the world heal, happy women's day 😃
