You need to have the drains where they touch the fluids inside the smelter. You can’t use the corners of the smelter. Best basic version is to have 3x3 floor, then go out one block and up one block to make the walls then you can have a drain touching the fluid the controller in the middle and the tank on the other side (one wall) that would solve your issues.

It's probably poorly documented because it works exactly like the Tinkers smeltery and the book doesn't go into correctly building one again.
TLDR: Corners bad! Do not use!
@@TheAgamemnon911 Actually foundries work slightly differently than normal smelteries so, Corners good! But drains should NOT be in the corners.
With how much this pack has been messing with you two I was certain that it would only produce a single crushing wheel. Also, I have to say your time lapse camera work is just insane.

Basalt, obsidian, deep slate generators are your friend in this mod pack. Easy resources so you can focus on rockets!
Also. Scorched basins and spouts are trash and don't work how you'd think. Use the seared.

For the foundry you cannot cast cast items as is, you need a golden platform for the basin and a cast for the...well, casting table. You can also put buckets of fluids back into the foundry by right-clicking the drain.
Scorch version of table and basin are not work with out mold somthing.
It helpful when you make some fluid are dump at not ready table when you forgod turn off level.
If you really want some no mold recipe, table need golden bar-not ingot-and basin need golden scafording for blank mold.
Please, other people boost this so he can see. You can also use the old tables, they'll work fine too! Just not great for automation like shimmer dust or obsidian plates

Foundery drains are on the corners. They need to be able to connect to the liquid matterial to pull it out you goose.
Great video, small idea you chould build small garage between 2 buildings for tractors.

The foundry is a pain but I had to deal with it in another mod pack and I think you can only extract if the drain touches the "liquid" but I don't remember really well and it's been a while since I played the latest tinkers patch
I believe you have to have the drain beneath or on level with the molten liquid inside for it to drain. Or you might need it to not be on a corner.

I think the issue is that the tank you put the molten obsidian in isn't a valid block for the foundry... so the drains aren't part of the valid structure

i assume the corners of the smelter does not work/needed maybe that's why it's not working?
on the case of the foundry the drains don't work on the corners as the liquid can't get to the other side of the drain
Nothing as permanent as a temporary smasher
The reason the foundry wouldn't pour out is due to the scorched casting table and basin they only pour if a cast or recipe is available so you can't just pour them out on them you would need the regular table and basin

The spouts being in the corners might be the problem? Maybe move them.
The faucet has to be at the same block level (y coordinate) or lower than the block level that the molten fluids in the smeltery occupy in order to work.
And, like other people have said, faucets won’t work on corner blocks. You have to place them on one of the four cardinal faces/sides of the smeltery - essentially, on blocks that would be directly touching any molten fluids in the inner 3x3 area, which corner blocks do not.

I now know why foxy no tail doesn’t have a tail it was chopped off by a helicopter blade

Huh. I think it's becoming more and more obvious why you have no tail. You don't drink someone's beer, Mister Foxy. It gets tails removed. 😂👍

Did you know the foundry block from tinkers does not combine smelted ores so you can just use one foundry well if the thinkers mod is updated that is
You should look up slime boots that stop fall damage and makes you bouncy and a slime sling than will sling you.
For the foundry you need to set a filter or you can use create to pump it out into a smeltry block
You know that groutsmelting is twice as effective in a tinker's smeltery then a furnace/bulk blaster/blast furnace right?
The tinkers controller was removed from this modpack, so you can't build a proper tinkers smeltery
I don't see better ideas with Create
I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I get motion sick when you have the camera move around during the timelapse, would it be possible to tone that down a little bit?

The reason you can't pour the molten obsidian from the drain is because corner blocks don't count as part of the foundry, if you move the drain into one of the non-corner blocks you should be able to pour out of it.
I was able to get corner drains working no problem. I think it need at least 2 blocks height inside plus the scorched brick floor.
No, it's the scorched tables and basin. The fantastic foundry book tells you you need to use gold platforms/bars to work as an 'empty cast'. You can use the previous seared tables just fine though

I can't wait for you and Mr BeardStone to make a new UA-cam channel. BeardedFox or Best Minecraft Friends Show or Tea Time with Mr BeardStone and Foxynotail. Because that has to be the next logical step because Brits love building empires and you could build a mini empire with you two as the hosts and you can have minions like me build all the basics in the background. Like mining and roads and platforms and digging holes for infinite lava. That way you can make more content that isn't just you making a platform and falling off it or jumping in space dying many many times.
I don't understand the advantage of a shared channel? Sounds like we'd both just be starting over and having to try and juggle two channels
