  • Suicide is the No. 2 leading causes of death for college students in the United States. About 1,100 students die by suicide on college campus every year, including at Texas A&M University (TAMU). On Sept. 10 Texas Aggies gathered in Rudder Plaza to raise awareness of suicide among students as part of "Not Another Aggie" Suicide Awareness Month events.
Texas A&M students and staff may learn more about how to help others who suffer from mental health challenges by visiting the TAMU Counseling & Psychological Services website at caps.tamu.edu/suicide-awareness-prevention/. The team provides training designed specifically to help staff and students intervene and assist their friends and fellow students.
