I'm so happy to watch a reviewer who doesn't hate Penelope at the end. I felt like I understood her decisions and while she didn't always make the best choices, she did her best in a bad situation.
I wasn’t mad at either character I feel like people miss the whole point of this series and the story that they’re trying to tell which is that love conquers all and Penelope and Eloise love each other very much they’re just going through a bit of a rough patch that they’re going to get over and become stronger for it
Penelope put her own family and the Bridgertons through literal hell. She knew her family was broke and her mother was selling their items, yet she was pocketing money for herself under the floorboards letting the money collect dust. She lied and manipulated every situation to her own benefit. I have zero respect for Penelope. She's a gossip monger for profit who lies and throws her own family, her crush, and her best friend under the bus multiple times. Eloise never lied to Penelope. That's where the difference is there.
Ah this is a different take. She lied about her identity, nothing else. Plus she didn’t do anything other than tell of other peoples actions! What she did to Eloise was definitely messed up, but I understand why. They did things that allowed her to make a profit. There’s blame for everyone here. I hope she does better next season honestly!
@@alannatv I understand your protectiveness for her, and yes, everyone has their faults - but im sorry, she didn't just report on what people did. She reports speculative gossip that every one around town is already talking about. She had definitely fabricated some stories (aka she put the other seamstress out of business in favor of Madame Delacroix, something that was a strategy to benefit herself). The other seamstress did nothing wrong, but Penelope wrote a defamatory story that cost another woman her job.
Just sayin'... people excusing Penelope's behaviour is pretty hypocritical.
I want a lot on Kanthony in season 3

Thank you Allana for coming back. It's great to be watching Bridgerton again with you. Let's wait for Season 3. I hope the next season will be Benedict (who you forgot his name) with his true match, Sophie. In the order of the books he should be. But Shonda Rimes has confirmed that they won't be following the book completely. So, the next possibility is Colin-Penelope or Eloise. But for sure, Kanthony will be back in S3. I hope Kanthony has as many subplots as the featherington family in S2

We are all entitled to our own opinions when it comes to this subject. From my point of view Pen didn’t destroy anyones reputation(except Eloise), she told the truth about what others did. Eloise does have blame in the direction that things went, she’s not innocent. She chose to go visit theo when she knew she wasn’t suppose to, causing things to go further than it needed to. I do agree that pen shouldn’t have done it the way she did. I understand both sides.

@@alannatv if you read books you will know that every thing she did will have a consequence in the future specially destroying marina's reputation revealing someone's secret It is not revealing the truth and its actions will lead a character in the story to commit suicide you still think that is good the funny thing about that pen thinks she achieves something in her life she literally reveals people's secret for money and i understand that everyone has his opinion on the subject but somethings in life Its ugliness cannot be faked
I definitely understand that concept and agree with that wholeheartedly!! I definitely want to read the books to see how it differs from the show. I’m excited to see what consequences pen gets as a result. I definitely understood her staying she always wanted to be a writer and to her that’s what she was referring to. I can definitely admit it was done in poor taste !
