For Madoka, 24:06 I think you can replace those metal rods with stronger ones. Might be difficult but not impossible. I remember that post in MFC about making clear bases for B-styles and the metal rods were explained.
I recently came to the realization that anticipating the arrival of new figures was better than actually having them. This led me to really think about what I wanted in my collection and so I ended up cancelling twenty-six preorders from Amiami. I was really afraid they would shut down my account, but they were super nice about it. I feel like every figure I cut was a weight off my shoulders. I have some recent arrival figures that I've already listed for sale and I'm looking forward to streamlining my collection and having just the figures that I truly love.
Damn twenty six, that's close to how many preorders I have now. I've always been a little worried about cancelling on Amiami but they've recently changed their rules to make it hassle free so who knows, I might take advantage of that in the future. I've been watching people down size their clothes and things in their room for college. Now I want to watch people down size their collection. figure, sports memorabilia, what ever. I did have to do this with my Sailor Moon collection. After I kind of missed it but the person I gave it to was so happy to have it. My sister later down sized her Sailor Moon collection and I took it. Sadly it's all resting in a storage box. Does make me wonder.
I totally get it for me personally its the reason I dont collect really big figures because I just dont have the room for it . Also I try quality over Quantity the only thing I really collect every figure from is when Hololive is releasing one. Beside that I just take Characters from my favorite Animes. I stopped collecting western figures .
I completely get the need to do clear ups from time to time. With limited space you have to prioritise for sure! It’s such a shame about that Madoka figure though, she’d be perfect if not for the design faults :( and the aniplex one is like 50k yen minimum now it’s too much.
I've decided to take a crack at fixing her... at some point. Definitely dont have the time right now but I think it would be a waste to not even try. Who knows maybe ill even make a video about if its interesting enough, though that might be a stretch lol

While I did feel like I was letting go of some nostalgia because those were some of my first figures, it did feel great to get rid of figures that I no longer enjoyed and pass them on to new homes. I am more content with the current state of my collection now!
Usually it's the stuff you buy early on that ends up being the most impulsive. I had a similar situation when I went to Japan back in the day. Bought a ton of figures and then over the years I sold most of it because I really was just going crazy with my wallet and was too excited. I think the memories of the trip are more important anyway so it wasn't a big deal, but yeah if you truly lost interest in some of your purchases then I think its for the best to free up some space, add funds to the hobby, and build your collection to be special to you
That Arle figure actually reminds me a lot of her Puyo Puyo 4 design since she has a cape, but she has a bit less armor and it does have the Madou Monogatari logo on the box. The Puyo Puyo series is really old too, but they didn't get those super deformed designs we're now familiar with until the 2000s with Puyo Puyo Fever (aka Puyo Puyo Five). That's around when Sega bought the IP and they started being made by Sonic Team. I would love to have that figure one day!

Personally, I'd keep the Gundam and Modoka. It sounds like you only really care about those 2. Give the madoka a try to fix, I say. Worst case scenario, it remains broken. You can get steel rods from hobby stores, and some super glue would probably be enough to hold. I say give it a shot for Madoka, and wait to see if you are motivated for the Gundam. I have several WW2 model kits sitting in a cupboard currently collecting dust, but like you said, its a great therapeutic hobby, and those ones tend to come back around in the future even if you drop off briefly! Sell the rest. You have 20+ preorders, it's not worth keeping your "meh" ones.

OMG Yumekui Merry.. ! I've watched it and i liked it a lot. Didn't even know she has a figure. But i don't think i will purchase her, the anime was fun but, well, this isn't an anime that i think a lot about. ^^ I really love and wan't this Madoka figure, but i always was afraid that she broke like yours have broken. I think it can be fixed, that would not be easy, but this is so sad that she's broken like that. I remember seeing a thread on internet about that, and people fixing it.

I would love the Madoka Magica figure 😭😭😭 I still hope one day I could get. But for the pegs, I saw that you could replace them with stronger metal ones. I have a friend that had the same problem and replaced them and used UV resin to somewhat fix it. As for figures, as of now I only have a few small ones. One day I would honestly love to get a bigger figure but at the moment, I do not have room.
I played the Love Live game for years. Hardly ever missed a day or an event. I was sad when they started having the events back to back because I ultimately got super burnt out and had to quit altogether. I will say that as far as microtransaction games go, that game was so fucking generous with the paid currency and free tickets and stuff. It was amazing and I wish more companies would implement that sort of thing, because I was far more willing to pay my own money on it when they were willing to give out a ton of free stuff. It also made it far more accessible for new players, getting tickets/currency/even some URs in special login events. That game was such a good escape for me and helped my mental health during difficult times. I don't know how you feel about Nozomi, but I am a huge Nozomi stan. XDDD I loved Hanamaru, too. ^_^
I never actually got into the Love Live game, somehow I just missed that entirely. I did try the BanG Dream game for a little bit and had fun but I can never really keep up with these kind of games to begin with so it was mostly just out of curiosity. Nozomi is probably in my top 3 actually, like off my head I'd have to say Maki Mari and Nozomi are my favorites.
I started collecting last year and I regret buying two of my 1/4 scales so bad I feel with downsizing you might not always get your money back on things you really regret when you get into scales. It’s expensive and you don’t always get your coin back you spent on not popular figures
Yeah its hard to get all your money back on them sometimes, but that's part of the hobby I suppose. Normally I don't regret my purchases TOO bad, so when its time to sell a few I just see it as I got my enjoyment from them and it's time to move on.

By the way, I absolutely can't wrap my head around why hasn't there been a re-release of the Aniplex duo! Come on, it's even the anniversary!

I've sold on Ebay/Mercari/MFC/Reddit/Facebook before. The first two you are protected for the most part. but the latter three you'd have to take a few precautions. I might make a video about selling figures but as for now I can say the most important thing is to make sure they way you get paid has buyer/seller protection, such as Paypal Goods and Services(not Friends & Family).
i have that nico and maki figure, i got for it for christmas last year so i escaped paying for it 😋 not you convincing me to buy that renge nendo while you're unhauling it
I wasn't aware of this weak metal rods matter on Ultimate Madoka =^S Since I don't have enought space anymore to display more than half my collection, this one stayed in box for a long time... but I'm pretty affraid of displaying her to long anymore ^^'
Yeah it sucks, and I can relate as most of my collection is in boxes atm too lol. It's a great looking figure but she's just not built for the long term it seems. Maybe something went wrong on my end but I really wouldn't know what since she was just displayed in one spot and barely touched

@@ZuccoFigures That's the way to go with such a masterpiece, there's probably some solutions to get it fixed and more secure with better materials... it's still pretty impressive to see those bent metal rods, never expected that ^^' I hope we will not have such a matter with others =^S
It'll be a little harder and you'll have to discount your figures, but basically you'll have to go overboard with protecting it during shipment with bubble wrap and packaging materials to make sure its safe during transit. the more complex of a figure, the harder this will be, but it's definitely possible. Alternatively, maybe you could find local buyers so that you can just meet them in person, that way you don't have to worry about shipping.
Just gotta say, Love Live Nijigasaki and Superstar are both super good! I love the characters and the songs. I never finished Sunshine cause I didnt enjoy it as much, but I definitely recommend checking out the newer ones. Sometimes I think about downscaling as I dont even have a display case for my figures yet haha. But it's so hard as most of the figures I buy are ones that I only really really want anyways.
I did appreciate how cheap they were(thought that stopped with the movie nendos sadly), but yeah I think they could have done a little more with them. I think its the result of making them immediately after the anime aired instead of waiting for the characters to develop more. That's how I feel about Nobara at least since it's the only one I have.
Thats so sad with the Madoka figure : ( But when you still like her and doesnt bother to much about fucking her more up... why not trying to fix her? : ) I think with new metal rods and uv epoxy you could actually manage to solve it, epoxy is extremly strong. I mean at the end no one see whats going on down there if you made it messy. Im just sad when people sell or throw out figures because they are pretty broken. Its often easy or really fun to experiment by trying to fix those. : ) Sorry for my english x)
@@ZuccoFigures What even could be a good but more risky solution is to drill the holes deeper if possible and put longer metal rods in so it would not bend that easily again. But definitly go for epoxy, uv is good for smaller pieces but when the material is not transluscent to fully cure it so maybe then 2 part epoxy. I think there is alot of how to fix figures and especially metal rods on the internet. : ) If u actually try to fix it a video about it would be amazing!

It'll be a little harder and you'll have to discount your figures, but basically you'll have to go overboard with protecting it during shipment with bubble wrap and packaging materials to make sure its safe during transit. the more complex of a figure, the harder this will be, but it's definitely possible. Alternatively, maybe you could find local buyers so that you can just meet them in person, that way you don't have to worry about shipping.
Just gotta say, Love Live Nijigasaki and Superstar are both super good! I love the characters and the songs. I never finished Sunshine cause I didnt enjoy it as much, but I definitely recommend checking out the newer ones.
Sometimes I think about downscaling as I dont even have a display case for my figures yet haha. But it's so hard as most of the figures I buy are ones that I only really really want anyways.
all the jjk nendos were kind of disappointing :( i bought custom face plates for nobara beacuse none of the offical ones matched her personality
I did appreciate how cheap they were(thought that stopped with the movie nendos sadly), but yeah I think they could have done a little more with them. I think its the result of making them immediately after the anime aired instead of waiting for the characters to develop more. That's how I feel about Nobara at least since it's the only one I have.

I think with new metal rods and uv epoxy you could actually manage to solve it, epoxy is extremly strong.
I mean at the end no one see whats going on down there if you made it messy. Im just sad when people sell or throw out figures because they are pretty broken. Its often easy or really fun to experiment by trying to fix those. : )

@@ZuccoFigures What even could be a good but more risky solution is to drill the holes deeper if possible and put longer metal rods in so it would not bend that easily again. But definitly go for epoxy, uv is good for smaller pieces but when the material is not transluscent to fully cure it so maybe then 2 part epoxy. I think there is alot of how to fix figures and especially metal rods on the internet. : ) If u actually try to fix it a video about it would be amazing!
