as somone with an understanding of aerodynamics, it gives me big pain to see them all having their wedges with flat side down. flip them over and they produce upforce, wich would help you stay away from the surface of the water, and thus, help you *not sink*
TLDR: They have their wedges flipped the wrong way. wich is producing downforce, wich doesent help the sinking problem.

just flip all the aero pieces upside down! like, a single one of those triangles that gives you down force touches the water and it'll just pull you right in. Flip them so it doesn't. but still gives aero.
Kan is the bumblebee of the hovercraft world, it shouldn’t work, it isn’t the fastest, but for some reason we look at it and say, “yes, that is cool(?)”

The spinning hoverpads was genius but also he didnt add any downforce to that last vehicle which i think was making the other ones unstable

Multiplayer Race Idea: Racing with no engines but only 1 thruster and is a limo. It is an extremely dumb idea but, I’m just suggesting sumthin.
how to reverse? what classes limo?

I'm surprised none of you tried to add buoyancy after the first few races, just so you could re-spawn.
Also, you should try this again, but with a bit less water.

evolving the worst warship. going from best to worst whoever dies first while giving it their all wins. it goes in 100 block limit and 100pc, 50 blocks 60 pc, 40 blocks, 30 pc (or whats best)

This is the one contest I wish I was in on. Spent AGES trying to get a high speed hovercraft from torquing itself to free-floating neutrons, and figured out a bunch of stuff that would have come in handy there.
Oh? Any neat tips or tricks for hovercrafts? I really like the vehicle type, but I've never managed to build one I'm entirely happy with.
@@EpsilonRosePersonal Yes. ALL your thrust and steering absolutely has to be at the center of mass, and for max stability keep the lift there as well. Steering behind the center of your vehicle will be stable, but slow turning; put it in the front and you'll turn like stupid, but can lead to stability... issues.

@@TheLtVoss The higher your center of gravity the easier it is to tip over. Given the hover plates are fairly heavy they like to eat a good portion of the CoM, so it tends to be either at their level or slightly over. The hover plates also seem to have some sort of "stiction" with surfaces it's over, so that's a good excuse to keep the vehicle flat whenever possible.

I think that most losses are down to pilot error rather than faulty genetics, which is unfortunate

You should rename this video “ Watch scrapman evolve a hovercraft”
You guys should leave the colors as they are but add your own color to other peoples vehicle so we can see who was most involved on evolution and the vehicles will show different amounts of red green and yellow to represent who is most evolved.

Next time change rules that, the worst vehicle is used (that finish trail). But you can't delete/change core of vehicle (let's say that mean engine/wheel/cockpit). Also you have 2-5min to build.

Continuation comment from Mini Cannon battle from a previous commenter “Brick Battle fastest brick wins” I wanted to add to it on a recent video by having a minimum weight limit of 4000KG, no thrusters (exception for a boost within limits of use every 15 seconds), 10 power cores, no block limit.
This one would’ve been a lot better if the checkpoints were over land.

The course makes "evolution" completely independent of the vehicle and entirely chance and driving.
Even using the "winning" vehicle if they fail by poor course design it invalidates the whole premise...
You should do an evolving brick challenge
You were bobbing because you had downforce aerodynamics counteracting your hover pads
Its always hilarious because kAN is amazing at building stuff, but terrible at driving and anything to do with shooting or aiming lol.
U should do an evolution helicopter race
What about an evolution race where you all get the same trailer and have to make some kind of vehicle to tow it ?
You should try an evolution derby.

The bobbing is also because your center of mass was too close to the back hover pads.

What about a evolving transformer race on trailmakers might be hard to start so like 3 minutes of time for 1st run and 4 power cores then every other being 1 minute with +2 power core.
