The vintage head is based off the original toy, not the Filmation cartoon. The “glow” sword is based from the Thunder Punch He-Man toy and is affectionately called the “Lightning Sword” by collectors.

Don't use Rust Oleum to Chrome the sword. It will turn dark grey easily with the manipulation.
There are better ways to get a real and resistant chrome color with two steps chemical reaction paints (applying first the black base and then a chemical who turns it shinny chrome) or in the worst case acrylic paint but Rust Oleum isn't the way.
I destroyed a Hot Toys T-700 endoskeleton believing in the Rust Oleum Chrome paint spray. 😢
Instead of applying Superglue to the back of that armor, I would just get yourself some acrylic matte sealant (spray or brush on) and put a couple of coats on that. Might be a good idea to apply on the chest area as well. It provides a protective coat to the paints that honestly the factory should have done themselves.

I missed the preorder window on it and ended up ordering the regular version to go with the Battle Cat. Looking forward to both of them releasing in 2023. Also looking forward to your review of Battle Cat and getting your take on it when you get it in hand.

As a 42 year old construction guy, that loved heman toys as a kid, I love seeing motu back in the spotlight. But, to me the toys and the filmation show were world's apart. Heman should've been as big as Spiderman or superman. But. After the failed Dolph Lundgren movie and the awful space heman he disappeared..By now they should've already had several more movies, and spinoffs,, oh well at least they're finally getting around to it...but why in the name of Trolla can they never get the damn heads right???
We are find the shelf life of Hot Toys is approx 5 to 6 years. Figures that use pleather, paint staining, brittle ball joints. Hot Toys has though the best head sculpts and outfit replication of their movie masterpiece series.
With respect to Hot Gun it is a must for any collector. Save time and the worry about joint pop and hard to remove. With the heat apply few seconds on setting I vs II and move it in circular motion and presto, things come off easy and then once cool are stiff again.

I was late to the party, but got Battlecat and regular He-Man. I'm not a he-man fan but that battlecat is so freaking awesome. Great review. Could He-Man ride the Blurrg?

The replacement head you said was filmation is actually from the toy version that was not the filmmation version LOL use the chrome paint pen do not use what you said!
And the sword is from the original not from the Netflix come on man do a little research if you're going to spend that kind of money. Besides that great video nice unboxing keep up the great work.

@Danoby2 10-4 I will give it a try, but Mondo should really step up on these details. Also this line would be so much better if the arms laid a little more natural to the sides. All in all still happy.

Only thing I don't like about Mondo figures is that you can't get the arms down by the sides. It throws the realism off. I'm not sure if I'm the only one feels this way. Just saying.....
