The Knack was/is a highly underrated band. The critics lambasted them as 1 hit wonder but the other songs on Get The Knack were better than My Sharona. The backlash was initiated by the media as they were accused of trying to copy the Beatles. The Knack had their own style, both were having fun while making music. The Knack was awesome, I liked their music but subsequent albums were almost ignored by radio stations.
And yeah, they sound like The Beatles, But what the hell is wrong with that? It was just bad timing that they went with that as their image as a band. Considering punk was taking over music and soon would make Beatle-esque melodies, and sound into a joke. This ended with Nirvana and Oasis.
The version by the Rolling Stones Live 1964 Mike Douglas is one of my favorites. Rush's first single, I recently learned, was Not Fade Away - also a bangup job.
Yes, Buddy loved Bo-Diddley and in fact did an entire set of his music , which won him the fans at the Apollo (The Buddy Holly Story, got it totally wrong)... The first Stones single was a cover of this song.
These guys were so much better than they were ever given credit for.
One of my favorite bands that I never saw live.
I sure would have loved to have gone to one of their concerts. Look at the energy they brought to their performances!

I think Buddy Holly would have approved of this cover. Rockabilly energy is there.
Nailed it.
Simply brilliant! Miss THE KNACK
One of the very best bands of all time! No-one can do this better than the Rolling Stones though.

Les sale muy bien este cover
Buddy Holly and the Crickets (perhaps a response to Bo Diddley's recording), It later became a single for the Rolling Stones.

😎👍👍
Great song choice for their encore, and nice to see Andy Samberg on guitar at 1:38.
messi ayer
Buddy Holly as only the Knack could have done it!
Nobody can touch Buddy Holly and the Crickets' version!
