I know the feeling! Back in the day of your Dad and I we ran 2 30# lead weights, 1 per side, bolted to the firewall with aluminum motors. I lost one. I hit my own weight after it came off. Took everything out beneath me from my heel blocks back! I was VERY lucky!!
I remember them bolt on weights. Scary stuff
Man I am 77 years old, former paratrooper, race car driver, mounted police officer, and I started crying when they said you were hurt.
Great job by the racetrack and the safety team there. As soon as they knew something was wrong, the tower threw the red and those corner guys were sprinting over to you

I had the same thing happen to me except I had to have emergency surgery because the chunk of clay came through the car and hit my leg. And I had compartment syndrome on my lower right leg.
I got really lucky. Hope you’re all healed up

We all know it never feels better the next day but it does turn pretty colors. I own a half dozen ice packs. It's the cost of having fun. That shi$'ll buff out! Get better and get back at em!

When helping my friend runn 358 sprints at selingsgrove pa came in after the A main....and there was a half of a Rotor stuck in the center of the wing

Wow. You'd have to have binoculars to watch a race at that track that's why I like the 1/4mile bullring of the west coast. You get upclose and personal at a race !!
It’s actually very good for the spectators viewing there
As a fan,I can attest to what Billy said. Lincoln and Port Royal are excellent tracks to view races from the stands.
Not only is your wife fantastic looking but she sets up awesome food and takes care of you at the track and at home WOW !!!!! Hope you treat her like a QUEEN !!!!! I know I would !!!

Chassis builder ought to add an up and down piece of tubing where your leg got hit. But,that would add ounces to the weight!
It’s kinda an odd thing to have happen. Yeah we try not to add any weight.

good to see your alright,7/11 here lol. kaedings out here(ca.) either kevlar or carbon fiber panels and hoods that they were saying was 3 times stronger than aluminum. ill have to look into it and ill put it into the comments.
