The craziest thing about this bout is how accurate Tom was landing pretty much every jab, breaking Jarvis' shield and moving his feet fairly well, but the worst gas tank of anyone on the event. With 30 seconds left in Round 1, the big huff at 4:12 was the first sign of pending system failure. Based on the chin Jarvis displays here, that match with Gib is due to be the maddest in the tournament.

you dont need a chin if your opponent is only punching into your guard. even when tom got past the guard jarvis was usually moving with the shots which takes most of the sting off of them, especially since they were mostly arm punches (tom doesnt rotate his hips at all). either way jarvis has clearly been working hard, and i think he has a pretty decent shot against gib if he actually boxes him instead of high guard walking at him.

Man. Jarvis has potential to take the whole tournament after that showing. He walked Zanetti even after taking a few decent shots. He just kept coming forward. Once he knew his punches to the head weren’t doing much, he changed his game plan to attack the body once he saw Zanetti was gassed after the second round. This was a perfect example of adapting on the fly and taking control of the situation. I knew Jarvis would beat Tom but wasn’t sure if he’d be able to move further in the tournament. But, after his performance, I think he actually has a really good shot at taking Gib and winning on points. Jarvis’ punches landed so much cleaner than Gib’s that night. Gib was over throwing a lot and getting Austin in the back of the head a bit. It’s gonna be exciting to see what happens next but I’m low key rooting for Jarvis to take the whole thing and then fighting Slim after the tournament.

Jarvis did very well. He fought like a champion, although I do see him potentially losing to Gib if he uses the same strat he used this match against Zanetti. Jarvis needs to practice when he's in range and to capitalize when he is, other than that he was spectacular with his footwork and head movement. If he keeps up the strat of walking into those shots especially if it's Gib throwing, Jarvis potentially could get knocked down to the canvas. Another thing is maybe Jarvis could go more to the body his punches are strong as hell so if he would be able to land more shots to the body he could so some real damage. Aside from that all I know is that this is going to be a good fight between Jarvis and Gib and they will give the fans a show.

Jarvis controlled the ring by coming forward the entire time, he landed the more effective punches all three rounds, and Jarvis covered up to come in with counters. Jarvis looks like one of the most technical fighter on youtube. He’s got power behind his punches and isn’t sloppy when throwing them either. He calculates every punch and it was a good game plan keeping the pressure and kept in front of zanetti’s face. If Jarvis can work on his defense a little more and get better head movement, i think he can be the best. (In his weight class)
