Sounds really good as first time when I discovered Bloc Party in early 00s.
Honestly I really liked this new album and the addition of 3 more songs made me excited. Keep it up guys, you really are one of my favorite bands since I met you in 2014 and I hope you keep making many more songs, you guys are fantastic.

No offense to Tong (who was awesome), but Bartle is the real deal as a drummer as well.
Bartle is an amazing drummer but she couldn't hold Matt's Tongs. Matt's energy was the difference maker in making a lot of BP songs work.

@@radtalon6079 No one's saying that Alpha Games is better than Silent Alarm or even the next two albums. I especially give credit to Tong for writing his parts on those classics, but honestly when it comes to how they are played, I don't hear much of a dropoff.
why did the og drumer and bass player leave?
Different vision and direction of the band as you can hear in Hymns & Alpha Games. Gordy wanted to work more on his own project while Matt, was dealing with personal vices.

@@anthonyp6823 ^ read my above info as it was briefly discussed by Kele as they didn't go into depth with it. However, their was a falling out during their long hiatus between the albums intimacy and four. It came down to Kele trying to discover himself and mixing his personal UK electric sounds with BP. Kele's solo projects are all over the place and if you give them a listen, he has no direction with his sound.
