Bought Bonelab ages ago but never played it due to a bunch of random real life stuff getting in the way and just straight up forgetting I had it lol. Looks like this is the best time to get started.
Haha oh man hope everything’s good now! But yeah I would say this is the perfect time to hop back in. It actually feels completely playable like polished now. And you’ll love the campaign, short but cool.
You should have played before patch 4 since the arm placement when grabbing things is now more janky but it feels like throwing got improved

The update is not fully complete, on quest, but there is dynamic lighting and everything else is here but now we just need dynamic shadows for quest
I also feel like guns are a lot more smoother to shoot

@@birdyboi123 the elevator is the same as in boneworks, if you failed it and fell you took the elevator back up to try again

Bonelab always gave headaches and the starting them of the whistling gave me trauma but with this update it been severely helped
its amazing to see what the mods will be like in the future thanks to this update

I think there’s most likely 2 reasons as to why the version is from that long ago.
Reason 1: They also had the quest version to make, and that would be slightly more complicated due to them making improved graphics for standalone quest 3.
Reason 2: they probably don’t want to make us wait 3 months between patches, so they’ve most likely finished or are very close to finishing patch 5 and it will probably release in a timely manner this time, seeing as they have barely 4 months left of bonelab’s planned 2 year development/support, and there’s still atleast 5 more patches for the game planned, we should be seeing bonelab updates once every few weeks until September 29. Sounds exciting if you ask me.

I kinda hate patch 4 because they screwed up all the mods and now I just can’t pick up any modded weapons. Plus the new spawn menu for the spawn gun is extremely annoying and crouching is completely broken for me.
The crouching isnt "broken" i would say it was just worse, they added physics to legs so that it can also interact with the bonelabs characters body, meaning you cant touch the floor without your legs forcing your characters body to stay upright, but so far the patch 4 updates been pretty good for me. There is alot more clipboards with more lore making reading take up like 20% of the whole game maybe even 25%. But yeah overrall its not that bad, it just got way too overhyped from the release.

Quest 2 bonelab doesn't load patch 4.I didn't go with public beta, is there a Fix?
Did you change it through the oculus app. By going to Bonelab page then scroll down and click more information then change version to live
