I love the mood and tone of her songs and I worry that seeing her live would be frustrating because of all the "wooo"s and the singing along. I don't get people who sing along to artists at their shows. I guess it's ok at at a hard rock, punk or electronica show, but acoustic? WTF? Standing next to a group of people singing along to a quiet song makes it so you literally cannot hear the artist, you only hear randos (poorly) singing their songs. And they're usually massacring the lyrics or are entirely tone deaf.
@@Pixeleyes i get what you're saying but at least the Chicago concert from Laufey? honestly, everyone was an artist. they all harmonized on the chords and i don't think i heard a single person overpower laufeys voice or go off key... can't speak for other concerts but it was beautiful when i went to see her
@@nickukiah810 it’s not rude at all, it makes the audience involved :) check out Jacob collier he does engage A LOT with the audience and even when the audience sings (beautifully) on top of his songs, he encourages them to continue, nobody’s complaining ! People are there for these kind of interactions, I feel the same with her gigs

But live and let live - I was at one of Laufey's gigs and stood further away from the stage so I could hear her beautifully and not the audience 🙂 Each to his own!

Wow. I have no idea who this is, but she's very talented and very beautiful. I'm as guilty as anyone of pointing out that the majority of new music is awful, but it's always nice to find a modern artist actually making beautiful music like this. I think because this doesn't even sound like anything else modern, it has almost a timeless quality to it, and feels familiar like I've been hearing it all my life. I'll definitely be looking up more from this girl, she's phenomenal. Thank you to whoever uploaded this!
