I think what's almost more terrifying than how the Flood transforms its uninfected host is how it can also transform an infected host on the fly. Almost any infected form could turn into a tank, a stalker, or a long range on the fly.

The fact that Halo 3 flood transformations is still the best video game animations I’ve known even more than 15 years later after this game first released.
In the elite transformation, the elite destroys the shield generator (that's what that gravity hammer sound is). Not sure if it's the elite or flood doing that, but it's a neat detail since they don't have a shield anymore once infected.
Interesting some elite flood still retain their, but it doesn't work the same, shield strength is way weaker but recharges faster than a normal elites shield
It's actually meant to stop the flood from getting into them but it was a failed project and never worked its a shield pulse (yes it automatically removes the shield when they turn because of the shield pulse they don't want flood with shields) the flood cant control objects they don't own and the elites don't control their shields its automatic
something interesting is that the shield generator seems to go into overdrive during the transformation process; you can see when the other elites shoot the elite being turned, the shields instantly recharge when taking damage (the blue straight lines you can see over the shield flaring). Wonder if this was done for gameplay purposes though, since every npc in the game seems to become a bullet sponge while they're turning.
Funny thing: if alive npc was infected the combat form ain't gonna have it's weapon, same thing with dead infection, but if combat form being revived having a weapon next to it, it will pick up the weapon when revived successfully
They have to make another halo game that is flood driven like halo 3. I remember as a kid I used to always get mesmerized by the flood transformations and thought they were the most badass things ever. Tbh I just want to see new animations and new flood graphics 😂

I've seen a lot of infected marines do that. I'm pretty sure it's not them doing it themselves but rather the flood forcing it so the host doesn't resist anymore. Remember, when a proto-gravemind started trying to convert Keys in Halo 1 he resisted for quite some time. From what I've read he mentally lasted against it about 3 days. Then there was an infected marine that was still mostly in control of his mutated body (an old and weak flood-infector got him and it couldn't extort full control over him as a result). That doesn't exactly make living humans an ideal host in the heat of battle.
2:25 that would make sense for the tyranids to basically evolve on the battlefield many forms when presented against a particular strategy of issue to the big forms shift like shin gojira and the flood pure form leaving if necessary much of their biomass into many small forms nomble and afterwards leaving the biomass for other forms to pick and used them to become greater form like how the flood tanks and juggernaut even flying ones like by controlled mitosis if they have to They have burrowing syatems beneath thr earth were they position biomass to lrave and recreate with special forms that are pretty much perpetual motion digging giant ever shifting networks to avoid them attack by imperial forces and with traps

I think you can shoot it off if you’re quick and careful enough. At least gameplay-wise. Lore-wise? They’ve probably got the Flood supercells in them already, so are already doomed in the long run.
@ShawndaPrawn Oh ok, I knew lore-wise it's too late when they latch on (as you said, the Flood cells are probably already in them). I was playing one day and the little bastard latched onto an elite and I wanted to shoot it off but I aslo didn't wanna risk killing him. The elite did become Flood though as I was deciding on what to do. I was so sad and pissed I got teary-eyed (silly I know, but I was hell-bent on protecting my allies). I don't know if I can save them but there's only one way to find out. Thanks :)
If you mean the flood infections/transformations, it’s all about set up. If you want an infection form to infect a living and dead body, you have to prevent your teammates and other foes from killing the infection form. Now, to record the way I did, go to “create” and then “theater” mode in MCC to watch the replay and begin screen recording with your Xbox the parts you wish to get. Hope this helps, if not, let me know.

I've never seen any the forms turn back into stalker form before. Usually, I kill them before they turn into the tank form.

They can get infected. But their flood models are the same as a male marine.
