I absolutely love my proto throttle . The best part is that you can change the CV’s on your locomotives and then you can operate your locomotives prototypically. I got mine so the hand brakes glide to a stop just like the real thing. Definitely worth it.
Awesome thank you I appreciate it. It’s a lot different now that I’ve re modeled a few areas and industries. I operate a freelance switching layout that takes place in my home area of southern Massachusetts. But it will soon be Mass Coastal railroad and Bay Colony lines which are real railroads that operate here. Cheers!
Those throttles are very cool in their detail. I do love the loksounds drive hold and i use it all the time lately. My small layout has 4% grades and 18 inch radius curves, so you need to throttle up those and then "coast:" down. It really adds to the realism. The proto throttle would add even more it seems, thanks for the demo.
Interesting side-note: The opening shot of the loco cab is from FGLK 2306, which met it's match with a derail on my birthday, July 25, in the Himrod yard. RIP.
Thanks Mark! The stock levers are plastic, with a threaded metal end that screws into the throttle. They sell custom brass ones, they look cool, but I don't think they would be prototypical for my B23-7's. And yes, it becomes like driving a car, if you use it often enough. Just enough challenge to keep your head in the game, thinking about your next move. Take care - Bill.
Great stuff and the air brake test is amazing. Excellent demo.
Thanks M! I had a lot of fun making this one. Stay safe - Bill
The editing is coming along great! Very professional
Thanks AD!

Hi Mike, thanks for your comment!
Yup, me too. I set the momentum high for a slow start and braking high for a long coast. Take care - Bill
I set my engines pretty the same way. Thank you for the reply. I will be posting an update on my layout soon.
@@mikewoodbury7248 I just subbed. Looking forward to it. Thanks - Bill

Thanks Tom, glad you enjoyed it. Sounds like you've got the hang of drive-hold. Take care - Bill.

Very interesting video. What material are all the levers made of? Do you find with use, all the levers and buttons become second nature?
Thanks Mark!
