The Metro Davao Urban Master Plan
The Metro Davao Urban Master Plan was conceived in partnership with the Mindanao Development Authority and the local government units of Metro Davao: Davao City, Panabo City, Carmen, Tagum City, Maco, Digos City, Santa Cruz, and the Island Garden City of Samal. One of the major objectives of the project was to establish linkages between the eight LGUs and to determine how each one's strengths can complement each other to create a more livable and resilient region.
The first in our series of Metro Davao posts, the Roxas Sky Garden features a proposed elevated walkway and the re-envisioned Freedom Park in the center of Roxas Avenue. The elevated walkway is a solution to Mayor Sara Duterte's challenge to help them decongest the area while preserving the existing Roxas Night Market. Relocating the vendors to the elevated walkway will enable them to work and sell their products all day, and it gives people more space to enjoy shopping and dining. The designs were inspired by the cultural patterns from the 11 indigenous tribes of Davao City.
The Roxas Sky Garden promotes connectivity between universities and the residential and commercial areas in the center of Davao City. The area is envisioned to improve quality of life by providing vibrant and safe urban spaces and by showcasing local heritage and culture.
It’s heartwarming to see the bright star of Mindanao rising... This economic center would greatly transform the economy of Mindanao. It’s nice to see that no one is being left behind. hopefully in 10 years but I give it 20-30 years (assuming all of this comes true). Davao City is a great city but it has a long way to go. Mabuhay.

Palafox is one of the top 200 architectural firms by a London-based BD World Architecture Magazine - the one and only firm from Southeast Asia to make it to the list. Now that's some serious planning in the making, no longer just a hazy dream. Go Davao!

If we vote wisely in 2022 Elections, we will see this amazing masterplan of Metro Davao.

It will take a long time for us to see all of these rise but i hope in the future, the bridge with a light-rail underneath plus the pedestrian would push through. I know it will cost a lot but it would be a great landmark, a gamechanger in the south.

First of all, Rally doesn't affect the daily life here in Manila, you wouldn't see rallies happening everywhere, only in the university belt, that's why if you see most yt vloggers rally doesn't happen, it's because they do it on specific locations
Second fo all, read the Anti Terrorism Law again :). I don't think it's targeting terrorist but annoying activists, it's true we need a anti terror law, but it has to be revised

One big disadvantage lang ay nasa ring of fire ang bansa natin. Prone to earthquakes..not to mention the number of typhoons every year na pumapasok sa bansa..pero sana marealize ang project na yan..and am sure naman na typhoon and earthquake resistance ang mga itatayong buildings...God bless president DU30..God bless our country.

This is world class! Who will implement this? Habor City was not materialized. Unless a great leader will use his/her political will, this will just remain a plan.
Inday Sara blocked the Harbor City project, which was already signed by his father before he became President. That's why I doubt if this plan will push through. This needs strong political will to implement such a world class master plan.

Developing a Metro Davao as big as equivalent to almost 6 metro Manilas is a gargantuan task. Something that is not that easy to achieve,. However, with oozing optimism, confidence and consistency of its leadership and citizenry in sticking to the plan, there is really nothing impossible under the sun. Maybe not in one's lifetime but InshaAllah in the next generation to come where all our natural resources like Oil/Gas and deuterium are fully developed and our tourism industry is already at all time high.

Some of these in Master Plan, especially the Esplanade are now being built along side with the Davao Coastal Road.
There will be a lot of recreational park and children’s playground once it is completed. Davao Life is Here!
Cruise ship port is in santa ana wharf if u notice may bridge ginawa above it because it is reserved for the cruise ship port
To realize we need to create Fund for this purpose to be participated by public. Central Bank should look into this. Create Bonds for public participation

John hindi parang magic na kaagad agad mabago. One at a time may ginawa nang from tagum at panabo para madecongest ang traffic at magkaroon din ng relication área para sa naninirahan sa coastline. Nakita ko yan ng magtravel ako from butuan to general santos and then to north cotabato. Marami ng pagbabago sa davao kung maglibot ka lang makita mo.

The roadways must be 4-lane and the overhanged terrace must be made of steel to withstand earthquake. Concrete is prone to damage look what happen to the condominium damage by earthquake.
