Nice video, I am a Frisian clockmaker myself. At the moment it is not worth making these clocks new as the value has fallen enormously. Even the repair costs are too high for the value of the clock. The clock you repaired looks good, it really turned out to be an exam paper. I also made the Frisian timepieces with carillon. On top of the timepiece there were 8 bells, a full octave. If you ever have any questions about the Frisian clock, you can always respond to this letter. Greetings from Rotterdam.
Beautiful job well done. I have a Dutch Longtail that I have questions about. Wish you had an email address. It was damaged during a hurricane, but as you, I’m planning to bring it back to life. I have cleaned the movement, but don’t quite understand the striking mechanism. It appears to strike as a “24 hour” clock....??? Sometimes striking 20 times.
I know I'm late with this, but the clock striking the hours is because of the count wheel not "locking" properly, a common fault with frisian clocks (all 6 of mine have the issue)

Deze klok is uit 1850. In 1770 zijn ze begonnen met staart en stiel klokken in Friesland.
