Crazy skills bro respect to you. Been cleaning windows for 10 years now. Residential mainly. Was wanting to do rappelling here in Dallas Texas but the pay is just not even near enough to do something like that. Used to repel out of trees hanging landscaping lights as electrician hyper no problem for me easily can do it but like I said money has to be there. For me to do something like this you're talkin about $60- $80 an hour but the pay is around 15 to $18 an hour. That's just not enough money to risk my life like that. I do Residential only and make $37 an hour.

Sad to say but yes I know for a fact here in Texas that is how much you make doing repel work. The company is looking for people to do work like that aren't trying to pay people a lot of money. Like I said in my previous statement you make way more money on the ground cleaning residential houses. Normal size 1200 2,000 ft house you're making 300 to 400 for in and out. You don't have to believe me. But I've been doing this for about 10 years now and that's what it is. I'm working for somebody else right now making $40 an hour. In the process of starting my own business and I'll be making 5 to 10,000 a week on my own.

Let me rephrase that. Yes they're probably making more than that in New York City but the price of living in New York City is triple to quadruple the price of living here in texas. So they're making around if they were here in Texas around 18 $20 an hour.

Hmm. I see where you're coming from. But the reality is once trained you're competent and aware of your risk factors. So long as height doesn't scare you it all boils down to trusting your equipment.

You should not be putting both your working line AND your backup line in the same rope protector unless it hard allocated spots for the rope not to get twisted and cut into each other. It’s happened before and someone died.
Stay safe my guy, big love from Australia 😛

Good to see ropes in use, for a long time stage & scafolding were bringing the accident statistics up. Two ropes, four knots , we are good.

You forgot to clean half of the window :P I'm sure there must have been some reason. But what I would suggest is avoiding jamming your scrubber into the top of the window like that. That's how you get drips. Better to hold it more on the top of the window and even stay like 1mm away from the top if you can.

Its actually the one of safest forms of "at height" cleaning you can do. There are many fail safes. Rope access is ALL about mitigating risk.
