It's more about people in mass creating a duality for a thing/product/information/memory. The fact that boggles scientists more is how this duality remains the same throughout the world with information/products/things changing, and people having having two major choices between the same(ignoring the variables). (PS: just an opinion based on duality ; p )
I do not recall Mandela passing away in the 80s, but I do recall countless commentators saying at that time they expected him to die in prison w/o parole. It is like the Berenstain Bears -- I have known it to be Berenstain ever since Stan and Jan Berenstain published The Big Honey Hunt in 1962. Were people just misreading it?
Just so we're clear....I never once believed in this Mandela Effect until I heard that the girl Dolly in the movie "Moonraker" didn't have braces. I've seen that movie quite a few times, including when I saw it in the theater when it came out. I'm old..I know. She had braces. You will never convince me she didn't.
I was with my then partner when we heard news that a popular TV personality, Parkinson, died (so I KNOW I didn't imagine it) Fast forward 8 yrs and the news reported that, Parkinson had JUST passed away. I was with my ex then too. We both just looked at eachother and he was as ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED as myself, that he'd been dead for years. I still maintain this.
I'm actually not surprised at all that so many people think he passed away in the 1980's, considering the rest of the world doesn't really seem that interested in what goes on in Africa. The amount of people overseas I've met who genuinely think we still live in huts is astonishing. And I'm pretty sure when Apartheid was still around, the rest of the world, America mainly, just sort of stopped associating with South Africa because they refused to stop the inequality and racial injustice.
Maybe there's something effecting people's memories like fluoride in the water, the hundreds of different pesticides , having electronic signals passing thru our brain everyday(cell phones). Many, many things could be causing it or the perception of having it.
The Pokemon pikachu's tail never had a black ending. This "mandela effect" might shock some of you but the reason is because in the original One, its all yellow but in some other knockoffs or other pikachu cartoons the tail is black on the ends. So, that's the reason for this "Mandela effect".
This shouldn't be a mystery. We know that we can remember things incorrectly, like conversations. We remember our perception and when it's stored in the long-term the perception is remembered as actuality. Scientists will get around to figuring this out. Probably
Totally! There’s just sometimes I can swear something happened before that was just like what was happening now. Most of the time I can’t remember, but sometimes i remember it almost exactly. My current theory is that the world is in a loop lmao
The Mandela effect is merely meaning something that we remember something differently from what the things actually are. It does not prove the existence of parralel universe or that we live in a simulation. It proves the limitations of the human mind and our ability to convince ourselves to believe something completely false.
I also remember some things my parents don't not even my friends, like how once i almost swallowed a live lizard because i was throwing a tantrum, my parents saw it fall into my mouth, i felt it scurrying out and cried even more, consolation didn't do anything ofc, a few years later they didn't remember that happening and since i was throwing a tantrum because of a good reason that time it did leave a hard impression on them and swore I just cried until i slept, no lizard and inconsolable crying for hours until midnight, nothing. One time i broke my neighbor's window, clear as day everyone saw me shoot the ball into the hoop and it bounced toward the neighbor's windows, neighbor got pissed and yelled at me and my guardian at the time, then didn't even remember it years after, even the guardian at the time didn't, the friends didn't either, apparently according to their recollection, i did miss, but it just bounced off the window, and we just all collectively sighed in relief. I swear whoever is running this sim is either too good or too crap at their job to wile everyone's memory after warping to another dimension.
I remember hearing a theory that the Mandela effect happened because the world did actually end in 2012 but to save the world they made a simulation that everyone went into And there's some typos / discrepancies between reality and the simulation
I thought Jif was the nickname for Jiffy. I remember when the first ad of Jif came on tv I thought “huh odd they go by the name jif now? Could’ve sworn it was jiffy.” Even my parents got confused and were talking about it in Tagalog
Hi everyone, as a South African youth I've heard various Mandela effect hypothesis growing up and many involved cloning (covering apartheid government) which was quike rare at the time and ended up being a myth rather then a law sue by victims descendants..🙄
The mandela effect is just an "different ispiration" we make in our brain making fusion of different memories wr had in the past... For example: i made a experiment with my sister... She had to draw the monopoly man, And she drew it with the Mario's mustache
I honestly thought the only reason i thought “Jif” peanut butter was called “jiffy” is because sml made a joke about jeffy saying “look ma name jiffy”.
Most of South Africans know that Mandela that went to robben Island is not the Mandela that came back. This is true but people understand it traditionally they have no idea what a Mandela effect but they know Mandela came back twice
Today's generation is so appalled by the thought they may be wrong, have a memory that's not as good as they claim, that they'll say someone is changing the past before they'll admit " I suppose I could be wrong."

Also. Bruce Lee dead, in the Caribbean he died by someone shooting at him in a movie scene, and in the USA story he died of opion and his son Brandon Lee was the one who died in a movie scene, but Bruce Lee died a long time before his son
if someone really want`s to know how the berenstain bears is spelled look up the video game on the mega genesis cd/sega cd you got a collection of games there is the right spelling of the berenstain bears (sorry for the writing) so look it up it`s a old sega/mega cd game ;)
Yeah but those too apparently changed somehow too
I actually have that game from when it first came out and ur right
I had the books...it was stein..
Did he die of old age in the 90s? And if so was it from really old age when he did die this time. Lol
Joking aside things have changed looney Toons was definitely toon like cartoon. And it was always luke i am your father 🤷🏻♂️
If you look back, it was never toons
I thought too 😞
It’s always been Looney Tunes, like it’s older man Merry Melodies… tunes, melodies…
And the line was never, “Luke, I am your father.” Luke talks about Vader killing his father, and Vader replies, “no, I am your father.”
@@JanoyCresvaZero not in my past 🤷🏻♂️don't know what's going on but I am sure the words have changed
@@best-bullysscotland1016 you could check, but it never was
@@Alcatrazz21 you can't cheeck though that's the problem with these Mandela effects the history we seem to remember isn't the same and apparently never has been. It's not just this there are absolutely loads. As I said I'm not sure what is going on but something is.
What if in the future some how we discovered time travel and the butterfly effect is happening
CERN was listed as a cause in a video years ago... a kid from Russia said CERN experiments destroyed the timeline we remembered and that some of us made it to this timeline we are on now. While other's say the timelines are so close together as in the vale is thinning, we jump from one timeline to the other like the TV show, Quantum Leap.
As a South African, I don't understand how Americans thought Mandela passed away in the 80's😂😂😂
I remembered when Mandela died and then a few years later he was on TV, I was so confused.
Even my husband remembered it.
No you don't. You are misremembering
@@jamesduncan6729
Oh and who are you to say how things go?
Oh I know you're one of those who didn't take the red pill.
i dont know where you got that information from, even in the '80s. Mandela being released from prison was one of the most influental things in the 20th century.

You Obviously are not understanding the Mandela effect you know in the video .
@@Im-From-the-stars I do not because it is dumb.
I been asking alot of kids my age if they remember this thing called Neptune it would come in late at night on nickelodeon like Nick at night and it would show shows like Jimmy neutron hey Arnold and all that and everyone I ask no one remembers it pains me bc it something that I remember so clear
neptune? nicktoon?

Fun fact:mandela was the first black President in South Africa in 1994 but I only heard people saying Mandla died in 2012

" Yankee doodle went to town riding on a tractor." Not a pony?
Just somthing i thought I'd bring up.
I remember "Yankee Doodle went to town riding on a rocket" but not tractor... What was the rest of the tractor saying?
@@hippiebippie8870 I have no idea

Even steven hawkins said the there is a star or something like that that's so powerful that it could teleport the entire world to another universe
The loony tunes/toons one, i remember that being spelled as toons and not tunes...woah!😳😳
I was with my then partner when we heard news that a popular TV personality, Parkinson, died (so I KNOW I didn't imagine it)
Fast forward 8 yrs and the news reported that, Parkinson had JUST passed away.
I was with my ex then too. We both just looked at eachother and he was as ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED as myself, that he'd been dead for years.
I still maintain this.
To me what's really weird is I remember him dying in 2011 not in the 80s or 2013
I'm actually not surprised at all that so many people think he passed away in the 1980's, considering the rest of the world doesn't really seem that interested in what goes on in Africa. The amount of people overseas I've met who genuinely think we still live in huts is astonishing. And I'm pretty sure when Apartheid was still around, the rest of the world, America mainly, just sort of stopped associating with South Africa because they refused to stop the inequality and racial injustice.
Yeah definately a parallel universe, because those are definately real and definately exist.
De javu I presume
It DID used to be called Jiffy Peanut Butter! Ate it all the time as a kid. Us wee ones would fight over who got to eat the peanut on top!
The Bernstein Bears is one that I definitely remember from my childhood. The peanut butter one is another one that I kind of remember.
It's definitely BerenSTEIN. I read the book dozens of times as a kid.
The Mandela effect is merely meaning something that we remember something differently from what the things actually are. It does not prove the existence of parralel universe or that we live in a simulation.
It proves the limitations of the human mind and our ability to convince ourselves to believe something completely false.
Now I have to go look through my box of childhood books to verify
… the most popular I could think of is *pucachu had a BLACK end in it’s tail* !
As a Pokemon Fan, I always thought that Pikachu had a Black Spot on his tail but it is not the case. The Pokemon fans will understand this.
Hi everyone, as a South African youth I've heard various Mandela effect hypothesis growing up and many involved cloning (covering apartheid government) which was quike rare at the time and ended up being a myth rather then a law sue by victims descendants..🙄
I am fairly sure that jiffy could be caused since jif and skipy are 2 peanut butter brands and the names got mashed together
Listen!! It’s no joke! Jiffy peanut butter was REAL!! I’ve been around a long time and I can even remember the Jiffy commercials. It’s so weird!!
The mandela effect is just an "different ispiration" we make in our brain making fusion of different memories wr had in the past... For example: i made a experiment with my sister... She had to draw the monopoly man, And she drew it with the Mario's mustache
I don't understand how people got confused on Mendella,I can remember him being freed from prison and running for President, .
I honestly thought the only reason i thought “Jif” peanut butter was called “jiffy” is because sml made a joke about jeffy saying “look ma name jiffy”.
I remember people talking about Mandela dying in the late 80's and how sad it was that he finally got out of prison and then he died
Mandela bribed the aliens running the simulation so he could live longer
“Someone went back and changed things” lmao didn’t know the flash was the one to blame or eobard thawne💀
Considering that people can literally fabricate memories of events that never took place, I don’t give any weight to this idea
