this song, along with Act One, Scene One, F.C.P, Johnny Truant, Quarter Past, among others blow my mind because idk how Thomas writes such complex instrumentals while also having super catchy choruses and hooks. just otherworldly.
"Silenced! Sleeping all day 'cause you know you can't escape the night. I don't have anything better to do than you. Higher! Higher than I could ever get again in my life. 'Cause I don't desire anything but you." This is the kind of song I love from Fall of Troy! A mix of great lyrics and great composition!
here after i just picked up the pink and black marbled version, it was limited to 500 on merchnow and had to grab a couple. my all time favorite piece of work from TFOT.
EVR finally catching up to 21st century and uploading tracks people have been stealing for years. i regret not buying the vinyl after all this time since i got into hifi. one day we will get some quality TFOT flacs
Okay so this song is probably about tripping but the blue dress line has always thrown me off. What drug has something referred to as a blue dress? Or is the drug a person:P does make it more symbolic i suppose
Yeah, the whole song is basically about opioid addiction, more specifically to OxyCon. Thomas Erak (writer, singer and guitar player of the band) made a video like a year ago explaining most of the story behind this song and what it means to him and to the rest of the band.
The blue dress is the coating that's on oxycotten, it acts as a time release when taken orally. They scratch it off, to dissolve the pill into a liquid.. then shoot the moon. Hence mess me up tonight.
I know this was a year ago. But if you watch his play through video on his channel at the end he runs through the lyrics and what they mean. The blue dress reference is the blue coating on the pills.
That is so tragic. That pharma product was a fucking scourge upon many aspects of the world I have seen and people I have known. And now the world has fent tainted chinese bootleg products too.

@Justin Mao yeah it’s a damn shame

@@gavinc.morrison1147 same here. he made me pick up guitar and actually try to achieve technical ability.

Will forever be one of the best albums ever made!
the bridge and outro
Heard this way back 2009. 14 years have passed still jamming hard to this track.
Still my fave song
Imagine ignoring how much cash they would make if they reissued this on vinyl

BRING BACK THE BORDERLINE KING DIAMOND VOCALS!! IT WORKS SO WELL SPRINKLED THROUGHOUT FOT SONGS
Tommy’s voice is trashed these days unfortunately. Don’t do hard drugs

Why are these getting uploaded now? Is this a remaster?
13th anniversary I think
Equal vision is reuploading all the stuff they have put out in the past .
so catchy
Love the breakdown at the end
Is it a remaster? The album is from 2007 if im not mistaken, anyway im not complaining, song is dope as fuck.
i literally just like, imported it from a cd i found at goodwill, and its how i got into this band so, its weird to see a remaster.
No remaster for manipulator, doppelganger and st yeah...basically
A lot of labels and bands from that time hadn’t uploaded high quality versions of songs until recently, or only posted singles in the first place.
I really dig this track.
What kind of person would come here and dislike this ?
for real
A person with no taste

Yeah I'm thinking he's talking about oxy 30s. That's the only blue I can think of.
Ye there's a playthrough of this song where he talks more about the lyrics n his experience with opioid addiction
Viagra... Oh yeah!!
He is 100% talking about 30s.
