The side characters were the best part of the game, to be honest. A mix of familiar and obscure with colorful personalities. Their side missions, however, can straight up blow. They're nothing but the same tedious "protect this vehicle/blow up those generators/collect these cannisters" you see in every run-of-mill sandbox game.
Very frustrating. Have completed the game, rank 10 in Finite Crisis with 18hrs total and these missions are locked for me. Hack mission 3 Gizmo mission 3 Toyman mission 3 but not 4 or 5? Lex Luthor mission 2 Want to finish them all for the respective trophies and upgrades, no explanation given.
Solved I think. In the mission select menu, the first level of chapter 6 was locked but every other level was unlocked just fine. I loaded up the final boss in chapter 5, Superman, and continued the campaign progression until I was back in the open world freeroam which is right after finishing the first level in chapter 6. Suddenly all support missions were available on my map.

I find it really funny after all these years when a game developer as good as Rocksteady decides to try something different those same players that they worked hard to please and played their previous Batman games just end up hoping on the hate train instead of appreciating the time and effort Rocksteady put into this game. If your reading this Rocksteady I appreciate what you’ve done and the games you’ve made for us we don’t deserve you.
No one’s gonna care about all that time and effort if the end result is shit. Ffs Suicide Squad has been in development for 7 years yet it has a fairly short story and isn’t even complete at launch. What an embarrassment.
