would you say that success in this game is mostly based on map knowledge? my aim is pretty good and i often score 30-40 kills (never getting to those 70-100 numbers), but i have just 70 hours in the game.
Map knowledge is pretty important for Firebase Georgina. In this video, that's on full display. Sharke starts off by checking a common flanking route out of defender spawn for Charlie, then the defender spawn for Charlie itself. The bulk of the video (and the kills) occur in the area just ahead of the attacker combat zone cut-off and right behind the defense point. It's here that defenders are the least cautious, as they assume- with it being so close to spawn- that it will be secure. A handful of times Sharke takes that to his advantage and pushes out from either side of the tree he's chose to hole up in front of, scoring lots of kills that way. The same thing can happen if you get cut off behind enemy lines as a defender. Usually I try my best to get to friendly reserve lines if it looks like a point or pair of points will fall. But when that's not possible, I make the most of the situation and kill enemy soldiers as they run through what they assume to be cleared out positions. You'll be sitting behind in a secure position and watching the backside of soldiers as they move towards the new friendly position. And most of the time you'll be able to do so for a looong while until people either notice the sound of an enemy weapon or the range of your kills on them. I recall one killstreak like that in Hue City, Alpha and Bravo had just fell and I holed up on a balcony overlooking the bridge and river in front of Charlie point. If memory serves me right I got 21 kills from that alone, though this happened over a period of 5 or so minutes, I want to say.
