great reaction, you have to understand, Akala is so prolific he was recently given an honorary PHD; a doctorate of the arts for his contribution not only to music, but all his socio-political work, for the books he's written, the differences he's made to local communities, social outreach and verbally holding people in positions of power accountable for what they've done to the working class and anyone they deem under them here in the UK. he casts this unflinching eye on them,
highly advise looking at videos of his features on uk political panel shows where he uses facts to just eviscerate racists and leaders of more contemporary racist parties on national television with a smile on his face. The man is a saint

Ive watched 10 different youtubers reacting to this video, and you have stood out the most... The reason for this is you really took the video apart and analysed every part and expressed your own knowledge and opinions on the matter and really appreciated everything Akala was saying, you didnt just brush it off... What is is , they give the nowadays rap what it supposed to be. Rap is all about problems about us, social, political, everyday life...Absolutely not about drugs, whips, bitches and whatever. Shit is so irrelevant. To be fair, some good rappers can rap about all of this, but only in a way they put it as something you shouldn't be making yourself a goal. Kind of touch the subject, but neglecting it. Play the counterverse and speak about the things that really matters on a counter to opposed and spoken.
Anyway. Akala, Lowkey, Ghetts, Devlin and few others, to me, they stay original tl what really is about.

One of my favourite FITB I knew he flowed quick on this one and wasn’t sure if, like many other “American react” channels, you’d catch the bars but you caught them all my guy respect from England. Subbed.
I remember coming across Akala's FITB when it came out (at about the age of 14/15) and it completely influenced my life without me even realising it (until I revisited it around a year or 2 ago). It gave me further ambition, edged me in the right direction.
I don't come from a really well educated family but my older brothers always pushed me to be better than them. My brothers didn't do great in school, hung around with the wrong type of people but they taught me from their mistakes.
The spark of encouragement that this one freestyle gave me ignited a fire under my ass & made me WANT to learn. I'm the second in my family (youngest sibling) to finish University. But I learned so much more from this FITB than any school could have taught me. So much respect for Akala and I've not even seen/met this man in person. And my brothers... they're my ride or dies, self-made men... role models. Dope video, nuff love from the UK. Easiest sub in a long time!

Glad i caught your channel at the start of your uk journey. Akalas like our own krs-one . Hes a seriously intelligent individual and also a monster on mic he doesn't just rap about it he lives it. All his f.i.t.b's are insane part 4 is probably best but part 2 is my favourite i love what he did with the nas track. Also his daily duppy , f64 freestyle . The 2014 f.i.t.b cypher he killed everyone.

I just wanted to say I love your videos bro. I am someone that listens to a lot of metal, but love good quality music whatever genre it is. I really love good quality rappers and agree with everything you are saying about the genre, as it’s what kind of puts me off the scene in general. This is the kind of talent that should be at the forefront of it all.
Also, as someone who is not well acquainted with a lot of different rap artists etc, I miss a lot of the references, and word plays etc, so your breakdowns really help me appreciate the artists skill even more. Keep up the good work dude, your passion is contagious!

I think Akala is one of those people throughout history who just need to be listened to, however you find them. I'm not that into hip hop / rap and I found Akala from a TV show where he was just a guest, and he just kind of enchanted me with his blatant knowledgeable truths.
Much prefer listening to your view and input on a track as well as the deconstruction. Sets you apart, keep at it.

Here in the UK the radio stations have refused to play Akala for his entire career, despite him being one of the most well respected faces in the industry. The man is a genuine genius, he lectures at oxford, he appears on news segments and talkshows speaking truth, and has done more to empower young poor kids than just about any individual in recent times, yet they wont play him....

Another really good artist (in my opinion anyway) is Bugzy Malone. He also just speaks truths. Talks a lot about his life and doesn't glamorise anything. Just tells you his story
