Love the inspiration here. I was working in insurance for a few years before I opened up my own agency. Getting fired from my last agency was the best thing that ever happened. I ended up opening my own agency which was so hard to do from scratch but if you stay focused and just keep pushing through the struggles in the beginning anything is possible. It took 4 years till my company hit 6 figures and I couldn’t be more happier! I didn’t think it would work out but it did!

I had a bad impression of insurance and i am taking my tests to get started for another agency and for some reason if feels like this is where ive always belonged from the qualities expected out of the profession and the day to day im beyond excited and grateful i clicked that one application that might change my life love the energy I’ve received from every agent and people in the business
Hi Chris what do you think about Insurance franchises? I can’t find a way to get appointed with the companies unless I go over a franchise 😢 and the starting cost is so high
It’s not about just making money! If you focus on that you’ll suck as an agent and business like any other. Consumer service is the main thing you have to focus on, the money will come by itself
That’s a very long non compete. They’re usually not longer than 2 years. I wouldn’t sign that if I had an interest in starting my own agency. On the flip side, I probably haven’t written more than like 3 customers from my previous agency I worked at so it honestly doesn’t really matter

I am a big believer in independent agencies versus going to a franchise. It takes a lot more work to build but worth it in the long run in my opinion
