I joined your tipping pool Rob, the 43rd applicant, here are my tips, Richmond by 15 pts Collingwood by 3 pts West Coast by 9 pts Brisbane by 5 pts Melbourne by 15 pts Sydney by 25 pts Giants by 5 pts Essendon by 3 pts Fremantle by 20 pts
Great video Rob! I am a Sydney supporter as well, and we usually lose against Gold Coast so I'm not feeling confident, I think we'll put up a decent fight but I reckon that Gold Coast will get it done by 8 points
I think you’ll do alright Rob; I’ve got the same except for Port, who I never tip against, and Essendon. The 1st couple of rounds always throw up some unexpected results.
Anything can happen in the big games, Carlton and Richmond is a toss of the coin, players just play better, go harder in the big games, especially in Round 1, they've got fresh legs and they're all eager to prove themselves. Also, the Kangaroos might do better this year than a lot of people think, for one reason and one reason alone: Clarkson. Alistair Clarkson is possibly the greatest living coach (maybe tied with Kevin Sheedy) and he can really bring out the best in his players.
I've joined your tipping pool, it's pretty big already. I like how you have to pick a margin for every game, that really adds some spice. I tipped the Mighty Demons by the exact same margin as you did by the way.
Go Bombers. As an Essendon supporter, you've pretty much nailed the summary of our past few years - we're either very good, or very bad, and unfortunately, the very good side doesn't play often enough. I can only hope that the change of captain and coach will have some effect.
Yeah your right every round is different, its hard to tell sometimes who will play well. Glad you like dockers, I've been watching all their games since about round 10 in 2015 and it's been a heck of a ride. Last year was great for the dockers though, and I also think they will be a better team this year. Yet I'm unsure how their team mechanics work at the moment without Lob or griffin or acres, though we have gained new players that are promising skilled footy players. I do pray for the best for dockers and hope also that Fyfe plays really good but also the others too.
I'm no expert, but in my humble opinion these are my generalisations. Home grounds have an advantage esp. against interstate travelers and covered stadiums v open air. Also temp and humidity need to be taken into account. But when all said and done form is the greatest indicator. So, North at Marvel,.. yeah, Port in Adelaide could be tight, the Suns in with a shot up there, and Adelaide away, toss a coin. No comment regarding the rest. Mmmm..Go Sainters!
@@RobReacts1 Hahahaha, That's okay mate. I watched the Hawks and the Pies practice match the other week and it was such a good game, I reckon you're on a winner there also. Go Pies.
@Rob Reacts This means Geelong v Collingwood at the MCG is a Geelong home game. Geelong gets membership rights for the night. Eg, home changing rooms, sponsors signage, members seating, and dining priorities. This occurs because Geelong's home ground, Kardinia Park, only holds 26,000 fans. Geelong moves its home ground to the MCG to bring in more money. The Geelong team also gains more experience playing on a finals ground with a huge crowd. Win Win for Geelong. Collingwood also wins because it's Collingwoods home ground and more of it's members can attend. The home team is designated in the fixture as the first named team . Eg Geelong v Collingwood.
Good luck picking winners in round one . Anything can happen till things settle down because there are new players in each team . For instance Geelong recruited three young players that were all top 10 picks , but how are they going to settle into the team . You are right though , game of the round Geelong Vs Collingwood.
I think you're right about the Crows game Rob! It should be a close one but GWS have a history of walloping us. If we lose by a goal I'll feel relieved 🤣
I think Richmond's inclusions are a poisoned chalice. Injury prone, BUT fantastic players and on top of an ageing list. Just look at Everton. Just because you spend or bring in new players, it doesn't mean you will be any good xD
Go Blues. Little girl I know is playing with Tiges Auskick on the big game this Thursday ❤❤ I cannot go cause I will be minding her brother, but will be watching that’s for sure. We beat them this game last year.
Nth are an unknown this season with Clarko coaching them. Saints aren’t that bag, again they’ve got a new coach so are an unknown however they have a lot of key players injured.
Don't get too excited about the games , the first 3 weeks of the season are nearly always scrappy with poor skills but then the standard starts to improve by round 4 or 5, this is a real tough round for tipsters apart from feeling and Fremantle , the other games could all go either way
Most interesting game to me is Cows vs Apricots. Both of those sides are in a horrible place (and unlikely to see finals) - but I think whoever wins it will have a reasonable season and finish around 10th, while whoever loses it will have a far worse year than they'd expected.....
Rob. You let your heart rule your head. The Swans spent their last penny in the 2022 Grand final. Geelong will go back to back and win the Flag in 2023. [from a Richmond Baracker.]
@@RobReacts1 Yes. I take your point. Yet. The Tigers won The Premiership 'back to back' in 2018, 2019 and again Won the Flag in in 2121. (3 Flags in 4 years). However, you didn't rate RFC in the top ten in either of your 'Rob Reacts' videos. What does that tell viewers? -> Keep the 'Reacts' coming. [apart from my rant] I love your and Charlie's (& cat) videos.
You say western bulldogs will finish near the bottom but they’ve had a good team for the last 6 years and made top 8 5 times of the 6 but I guess we will see what will happen only thing I’m saying as a doggie supporter is that we do choke a lot of our games
Right, You went for North Melbourne, I'm afraid we can no longer be friends, lol, just kidding, round one is the worst for tipping, best to just play safe with the odds and throw in only one roughy maybe.
WC 😡😉😄 Fingers crossed, our new youngsters, developing youngsters, and returning players, plus a bit of luck, will have us climbing rungs of the ladder.
@@RobReacts1 you realise the eagles got so ravaged by covid and injuries last year they had to ask for special permission from the AFL to field players from the second teir competition not even on the AFL lists just so they could field a team, they where meeting the coach for the first time on game day lol. Also some premiership stars coming back from injury (they won the big one only 4 years ago) means i believe they are way better than what last year showed... in saying that they are still a bottom 8 side, but probably more 9-13 than 14-18th
Thanks for tipping Carlton! Go Blues!!

I think Round 1 for most people is a stab in the dark. One can only guess at whether the changes made in the off season have worked.
