I live in Corfu, it is so intresting to see it from a tourist's pov. So happy you loved our beautiful island! Definetely agree you need a car to see the island and explore more areas & beaches. Corfu Town is a must see for sure as it is so different. Italians ruled here that's why it's so similar xx

Corfu is green indeed like the rest of ionian islands, the Sporades,the north Agean's islands .The Cyclades,Dodecanese a part of Crete much less green but they have their special colour.
I’m considering going to Corfu next week for a solo trip, before I start work again. Would you recommend Corfu? Is it easy to travel from place to place?
Absolutely would recommend! I loved it. I used a car to travel around and found that really easy. Public transport would be harder to travel across the island, but they do have lots of boats and ferry options to visit nearby islands. Have the best time!
I travel alone a fair bit. It gives you a huge amount of freedom and flexibility with booking, but it can be lonely at times. Especially if you are like me and still go to the nice candle lit restaurants and theatre shows… sometimes people look at you as if to say “when is his girlfriend going to arrive?” then eventually they realise and are like “oh dear, he’s alone” 😆 I’ve made lots of friends though because people tend to include you in things. Funnily enough going to corfu on my lonesome in a few weeks.
I think public transport would be quite difficult once you leave the main towns, but the taxis were great! I used taxis every evening instead of driving and always found them easy to get :)

Heading to Corfu in a week and so excited! Did you find that you need reservations for restaurants or can you just pop in?
Some restaurants were quite busy - I booked the day before/ morning of to be safe and that worked out perfectly 😊
