Everyone thinks it's so easy working in fast food. It's not so easy when you have a lot of people to attend to, you have to get it done in a certain amount of time, and you have to be nice to the customers and satisfy them. It's a lot of pressure.
You have probably never worked in a real restaurant before. That is more intense and stressful. Cooks need to actually cook the food, and we need runners to run the food to the tables, bussers need to carry buckets of dirty dishes and clean up after the customer has finished eating. Fast food places are easy compared to real restaurants :)
I honestly got a crazy amount of respect for these people. Gotta remember all this during a big lunch rush and get out on time and ensure every sandwich is as good as your last one you made.
This guy was really nervous . He didn't follow directions and was shaking. Either he's not comfortable being around strangers or he is having a anxiety attack

Yes they could hire him. The first two days, at least, you're feeling alone because people all around know what they do and do it so quickly that you want to be as efficient as they are, which is impossible. But when your first week is over, you must be efficient on the line because it's when the managers and team know if you're good to go or not.

Its all exactly the same in England. Even the utensils and the machines. But meat isn't held in trays like that, anything beef is made into sandwiches soon as its cooked and goes in the shoot. Chicken is held in trays though.
Wow! I had no fucking idea they "assembled" these things in the box like that. How fucking careless and lazy. McDonalds is, of course, utter garbage, but I do sometimes crave a Big Macnasty. The second I finish it I feel guilt that I don't feel from any other restaurant. Idk why. Now, knowing THIS is how they make these things, will NEVER eat another one. It certainly explains why they're always fucking lopsided in box, which i could never figure out.
Erik Seger You'd think that concept was easy to grasp, but i guess not. Mind you, Mr. Chase, McDonald's workers are mostly high school students and college kids trying to make a quick buck - they're not five star gourmet chefs.
+chasenip2 You try making like 50 decent looking burgers that will satisfy a MacDonald customer, its really not as easy as it looks, they only get like 30 to 45 seconds to make these sandwiches before you pull up to the drive thru and if they don't have your sandwich then people complain, if you wanna wait 5 to 10 minutes for me to make you a good looking sandwich then go ahead. And most employees are like 17 you cant really expect a fuckin five guys burger from a teen.

Nic Rose I take it you're not old enough to remember when McDonalds actually fried up hamburgers in the stores and they actually tasted good?? If you were, you'd be disgusted at how they make them now, just like everyone else I know.
About the guy who works there: 1. You don't put double sauce on it, just once on the bottom and once on the middle. 2. He wasn't holding the sauce right. 3. Didn't dress with both hands. 4. Didn't grab 1 full hand of lettuce, then seperating with the other, and therefore didn't get equal amounts of lettuce on bottom and middle. 5. Didn't put the lettuce on it correctly, it was a big mess. That's actually how they criticized me, which is why I quit.
McDonalds food is DELICIOUS!!! I LOVE Ronald McDonald!!! McD's is the best fast food ever and I love it. I would rather go to McD's than some over priced fancy resturante. I have never had a bad meal from McDonalds and I have been eating it since I was only 3 and I loved it every time.
This is standard for building a big Mac. But it literally takes one second more to put the lettuce on properly and the final bun instead of closing the box. And then your big Mac wouldn't look like it exploded.
It DOES need to be done correctly, or it isn't a Big Mac. There's a reason McDonalds consistency is top of the fast food game. Anyway, ridiculous comment you made. You obviously don't know about PROCESSES and how important they are.

Domonique Brown Or so you think. Years from now, you will realize that your creator built your strengths into you long before you were ever born, and that praying today doesn't accomplish anything. Lol I make 20$ an hr and I operate machinery that could kill someone. Putting cheese on a burger is child's play. Literally. Fast food work isn't meant to support a household, man. It's an entry level job. High school status. People need money...I get that. But pursue a career that'll make you that money. I put in my work and get compensated for it. If fast food will give you 15$ an hour...then I definitely need a F'n raise...
its a whole different atmosphere but it doesnt make it less stressful you get extremely busy at times and everyone can get stressed out because they get yelled at by some underpaid manager, driving around machinery lol okay then, try being in control for most likely over a 1000 people a day getting there food by minimum wage teens, can be pretty stressful
Those men followed the proper procedures and passed the health and safety law's of wearing gloves. Thumb up now that's the way your suppose to make a too beef patties diced onion's special sauce with American cheese hamburger.
Flipping over the top without placing the top part of the bun is a BAD HABIT and NON-STANDARD PROCEDURE. It makes the big mac messy when the customer opens it. Additionally, thongs are in fact reused. However, thongs are designated to particular meat and will only be used for that kind of meat for 2 hours until you will have to wash those thongs for food safety. A lot of lazy employees ignore standard procedures and do stupid things. But that doesn't mean McDonalds doesn't have any standards.
I suppose this is American and I don't know how their food standards laws work but over in the UK they are strict and if a McDonalds restaurent is breaking them then they would be shut down.
Everyone thinks it's so easy working in fast food. It's not so easy when you have a lot of people to attend to, you have to get it done in a certain amount of time, and you have to be nice to the customers and satisfy them. It's a lot of pressure.

I think it deserves a raise, for people that actually put the effort in and aren't clueless and useless.
$20 an hour to operate a forklift, LUL.
You need a wage decrease.
its a whole different atmosphere but it doesnt make it less stressful you get extremely busy at times and everyone can get stressed out because they get yelled at by some underpaid manager, driving around machinery lol okay then, try being in control for most likely over a 1000 people a day getting there food by minimum wage teens, can be pretty stressful
Thats got to be somehow wrong..plz tell me. They put cold cheese and i waited it goes to some kind of oven but no "its ready" they said??
I wish they were this quick in South Africa. Also would like to see a pro making 5 simultaneously in the same amount of time.
This video pretty much sums up what it's like to work in radio.
Surprised they don't use separate utensils to handle the different veggies to avoid cross contamination!!
On a scale of 1 to 10 how easy is this job?
Looks like a proper old school Mac Ds.
None look like this in the UK
What do they look like in the UK?
"Is that a good Big Mac?"
The guy at 5:17 is like "Fuck off".
Those men followed the proper procedures and passed the health and safety law's of wearing gloves. Thumb up now that's the way your suppose to make a too beef patties diced onion's special sauce with American cheese hamburger.
im gonna make this at home all i need is three buns the secret sause( ketchup mayo and musturd mixed together) letuce, unions, pickels, and two paties
Delicious...and tasty. I love it. Greetings
Wow! here in the states that would be like Buying a burger at a 3 star restaurant. like in Palm springs CA or something
For those who do not know what the secret sauce is, it’s a kind of a Thousand Island.
So they steam the patty in a drawer or is that some type of commercial microwave?
That's the holding container. The patty is grilled in the grill station and then afterward it's kept in those drawers so it stays warm.
No wonder it's gone everywhere when I open the box. Still tastes great though
the seeds on the signbun is more to the edge so its doesnt look the same!
You guys get 2 slices of cucumber/gherkin... we now only get one here in the uk :D
Dehydrated onions really with fake cheese and 2 frozen burgers. Doesn’t matter what pickles they are the same and charge extra for.
6:35 can I have a bite? Yeah not a good idea right now😂 2020
Did anyone else notice that the mac club is upside down for the entirety of the demonstration?
This was in my recommended about ten years late
Idk working at mcdonalds is quick work its hard to remember everything the first try but it comes with time.
Is it just me or did he forget the top of the Big Mac or am I just seeing things idk? 🤔
how come at the mcdonalds in my area when i used to go there the burgers were already made and they just left the fuckin things under a heater all day
Flipping over the top without placing the top part of the bun is a BAD HABIT and NON-STANDARD PROCEDURE.
But that doesn't mean McDonalds doesn't have any standards.
why are they doing this in the bop toaster? they should be fired
I suppose this is American and I don't know how their food standards laws work but over in the UK they are strict and if a McDonalds restaurent is breaking them then they would be shut down.
Big Macs are fucking scrumptious
I think the poster was talking about what time he was watching it.
2:50 my boi was living in 2021... onions are now being done on the grill :)
