I’ve just purchased the Hawaii Airjet last weekend. I also bought the insulating cover for it, and it sits on some rubber mats. I heated it up to 40 degrees and I switched it of for over 16 hrs, it only dropped 5 degrees. I live in Manchester, and to be fair, it has been very warm here the last week, even tho we’ve had thunderstorms. The insulation cover is really very good, and it heats up by 2 degrees per hour as well. Great video, and thanks for the tips 👍🏻👍🏻
In my experience the most important thing is to insulate the water where it isn't surrounded by a layer of air, which is a good insulator in the first place. The walls and the lid are already having that - so first concentrate on the bottom, especially if you put the tub on the ground. Buy some cheap foamy insulating panels (something you can step on, stuff under floorboards) and put them below the pool in an alternating square pattern, tape them together and cover the thing with some plastic foil. This year I switched to 4 cm thick ones and they make a lot of difference compared to the 2 or 3 cm ones. Not to mention the added benefit of walking and especially sitting on something soft and cozy when in the tub.
Totally agree with all your comments. I purchased the Zurich last year and the extra insulation cover. What a fantastic purchase ! Barely felt an increase in the electricity bill, the insulation is fantastic in my opinion, temp barely dropped 2° in 24 hrs. Would definitely recommend !!
Well, my hawaii hydrojet pro sprung a leak on the top corner, then a leak internally which was unfixable. Lasted 5 years though. Time to get a proper one. Its been fun Adam.
Got one coming today to replace my bahamas one which warped, I have a thermal cover already that i bought for it am I OK to still use this with the barbados? Just worried incase it adds to much weight. Thanks in advance and great video which sold me on it.
Hello Adam, thanks for your videos! Are you going to review the Lay-Z-Spa San Francisco? I'd like to buy it but i'm not so sure. Is it better Santorini (new version with wifi) or San Francisco? Thanks in advance
Hi Adam, thanks for the video, lots of great tips. We’ve had the Madrid now coming up for two years and the app has been great for setting programs. However the app updated two weeks ago and has not worked since. Very disappointing, hope it’s fixed soon
Adam great video. Really detailed and helpful. I’m struggling to decide between this and the more expensive foam panel Toronto version. This seems to tick most of the boxes but reviews I’ve seen said 4 adults is not really possible (which we would want). Do you think that’s accurate and 4 people would be cramped?
Hot tubs are a bit like tents! They say 4 person, when 4 grown adults would fit but be very cosy. If you’re planning on having four adults in regularly, then you should maybe consider a 6 person tub.
@@SailingAquila Thanks Adam, really appreciate the reply. I was so close to getting the Barbados but I think if we have friends over it's going to limit its usage from what you have said. The Toronto looks like a good option, I've not seen anyone really review the foam panel version in Toronto as of yet, but I imagine it would be ok. The Helsinki also looks good but no wifi or insulation is a deal breaker. Have a great day, potentially in your tub!
Hey Adam! Love the videos, thank you! Two questions. 1. I’m in the US and have been looking for an energy sense cover for my Santorini I just purchased and can’t find them anywhere and a lot of overseas places won’t ship here, do you know anywhere I can get this for 85in round? 2. My SaluSpa Santorini won’t do the HydroJets and AirJets (heat off) at the same time and I remember in one of your videos it did, is this a thing they changed for US or is it defective? Thanks a million, keep up the great content!
The starting point for this is to ensure the filter is clean and doesn't have lots of debris/hair in it. Also, check the water outlet (under the Chemconnect if you have one) is also not blocked in anyway. Next step, is to disconnect the pump/heater and try flushing it with a hosepipe to remove any debris/blockages. If you've done these and it's still got the error, then you're into opening up the heater/pump which I wouldn't get into unless you're out of warranty.
Everybody probably sets their temperature to the highest setting because, depending on the outside temperature, as soon as you remove the cover, it will drop an average of 2 degrees per 30 minutes.
Id like to mention the wifi function. It does not connect if you have virgin or sky broadband. Hughh mistake by the company who build this equipment as so many of us in uk have this kind of broadband. Contacted lazyspa about this and and there customer service is out sourced overseas and they are not very helpful. So just be mindful and make sure your broadband is compatible with the equipment because lazyspa do not mention compatability anywhere so the funtion is actually useless.
@bescalp8116 - you would probably be able to get around this by buying a single wifi mesh extender that is close to the hot tub in the house somewhere and creating a new wifi connection with this just for the hot tub. Something like a TP Link Deco single unit would work fine.
@@benk373 strange, sorry I shouldn't have said extender, does it create a new network or does it just extend the Virgin or Sky Broadband (same wifi name?). If so, what you need is to make sure the mesh device has it's own network name. There is the option to go one step further and have something like the P9 Deco devices all the way around the house, and turn the wifi off the router (using it only for the internet) that's what I tend to do with all wifi as the routers supplied by providers are awful and have numerous issues. You'll find if you do the later the Virgin/Sky network name will go on available Wifi and you will use the new mesh network.

Perfect timing, read my mind 😊
Also loving the occasional shots around Plymouth.. my folks are from Ermington and Ivybridge… Good Work
Thank you, great advice! I am due to buy a Lazy Spa Zurich
So will be taking everything on board
Thanks so much! Does the tub use a standard outlet? How long is the power cord?
Great video. Do you keep the filter running 24/7?
Great review and doth of the hat to the ‘94 model Reef sandals…classic

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully sorted soon.

Hi Adam, do you know if they do the insulation covers for the Lazy spa las Vegas? I think that's the one I have?
Here's the link to the covers. There is one for the Vegas. www.lay-z-spa.co.uk/thermal-covers-for-hot-tubs
Why don’t u do video about chlorine reducer ?

Hello Adam
Quick question please?
Error Code EO2 on Milan pump… quite a bit on internet but any practical advice or video on this one??
Thanks
Gary

@creativechimp03 thanks for your advice....I do already have a bt wifi exetender that services the back garden but it doesn't solve the problem??
