Important to note: this is not a smell remover: it only adds another smell, my car had a minor stink to it and I, out of stupidity, bought that thing, and now my car smells like axe body spray 😅, after weeks it mostly went away but the old smell is still there
They claim its an odor eliminator, but it is definitely not. I bought an old truck that had gear oil spilled on the carpets at some point. I replaced the carpets, but the sulfur smell settled into all the fabrics. I used two of these and the smell came back both times. I finally got rid of the smell after using the chemical guys deodorizer spray and their new car smell spray.
@@ABDULMVJEED I used the Chemical Guys Ghosted odor eliminator. It has a citrus smell, which is okay but I'm not the biggest fan of, so I used some of their New Car Smell air freshener spray on top. The New Car Smell air freshener says it's also an odor eliminator, but I think the Ghosted spray did a better job of actually getting rid of the smell. The gear oil smell starts to show up again after a few weeks of baking in the hot sun, but just a hint of it, so I just spray some more and I'm good for the next few weeks. It seems like each time the smell comes back gets weaker, so it's slowly on it's way out.
I got a dodge stratus for an absolute steal like 10 or so years ago, it was fine until I took it on a half hour drive. It was like that episode of Seinfeld a smell randomly appeared and it was so heinous, I shampooed the interior and changed the cabin filter but it barely did anything. I tore the car apart looking for the course but never found it. It smelled fine after like 6 months of sitting.
The best ways to actually remove odors are to use a low cost fabric cleaner that shampoos or steams fabrics, use it on the seats, floor mats, and ceiling (be sure to not oversaturate the ceiling fabric) After that replace the cabin filter. If you are strapped on cash, or feel like it can be solved without more in depth measure, the ONLY two SPRAYS I've found that have actually removed the smells from a car for a day or two, as they actually have methodology that replaces and removes the causes of certain odors -Lysol Air Sanitizer -Ozium Air Sanitizer For both make sure to follow the directions best you can, it's best to cycle the products through the AC and Heat, and then saturate the vehicle (windows up obviously) right before you quickly shut the door and let it sit for 60+ minutes.
It smells amazing after use, but usually after few days smell is back. For me is better solution once per year change cabin filter + use foam disinfection spray directly to cabin filter housing 💪
Ozium and Lysol Air Sanitizer both actually legitimately remove certain smells. A little pricier but worth it, considering they actually make the air healthier as well.
Ozium and Lysol Air Sanitizer both actually legitimately remove certain smells. A little pricier but worth it, considering they actually make the air healthier as well. Not a crazy great detailer or anything but to all who are saying smell returns you must eliminate cause of smell first example: spill on floor that has an odor you clean carpet first then add this in. I’ve used these also to eliminate smell of smoke in cars clients have smoked in AFTER a full detail and airing car out
It’s like people actually lack intelligence in this department! Headliners(cloth), carpets(cloth), seatbelts(cloth), seatcovers(cloth)…all harbor smells and emit odor! Then plastic surfaces and vents also do the same to a lesser degree ! Air fresheners of any type only MASK the current air. Some people are just plain old cheap and nasty! They wouldn’t know where to begin!
not all odors can be removed this way. those can be taken care of with a few things. Ozone, carpet fabric extraction, leather cleaning and steam. 👍 if these all don't work.. change your underwear 😅
Ozium and Lysol Air Sanitizer both actually legitimately remove certain smells. A little pricier but worth it, considering they actually make the air healthier as well.
If you a heavy smoker. Best to also change filters and anything that can trap that scent and stuff. You would be surprised how much smoking gunk is in there. Just oray your filters are an easy plug n go and not those overly complex to change
Biggest mistake I ever did. It did eliminate the odor smells but all I smell now is the cleaner. I've been putting baking soda in my interior over night and I almost have the chemical smell gone.
@@kenyamamoto759 They sell those vented baking soda boxes but one ended up spilling and when I sold the car, they thought the spare tire was full of cocaine.
My ex set one of those off in my car one day while I was at work. I thought I was going to die for weeks after that. My drive to work isn’t very far, but I would be tasting that nasty smelling 💩 all day long from breathing it in. It definitely sticks around for a while!
I usually just spray little bits at a time, but I been noticing the last couple times that the sprayer ends up doing just like the one in this video did. I almost thought they kept breaking on me, but nope, apparently theyre supposed to work this way
The best thing to do is change the cabin air filter and use a ozone machine. Let that run for about 30 min. Of course, let your ac unit run. Air it out for 10 minutes. Then use this car bomb scent or lysol
I would be scared for my well being after being in that car maybe I would leave it for a day or over night plus if there’s a smell u need to find the source of the smell and eliminate it
This is not going to eliminate smell, its like taking out burgers and fries in your car, your car smells like fast food restaurant for a short period but it goes away in 1 day. This is exactly the same thing except it is perfume instead of burgers and fries....
This works if the smell is just superficial like a fart or something. But if the smell is coming from let’s say dog 💩 after stepping on it and tracking it onto your car. Then this won’t help you at all.
@@AMZNFBARight?! I literally used one today to get rid of a cigarette smoke smell from a used car I bought. Tan it for 30 mins, Aires out the car for a couple hours and no smoke cell. Now I can use an air freshener to get that specific fragrance I want.
You can see the area as he’s panning around after, but if anything this may make it wet. This type of thing should be mostly alcohol so if it does make the roof wet directly above it would evaporate off. Good to question that though
Yes.. highly recommend wearing seat belt. This first drive I breaked and went right into the floor.. accelerated wildly and drove through a sandwhich shop. It was on the news.. "florida man drives through restaurant".
It does work, no matter the scent. But, please for the sake of your health… let that thang AIR OUT! It says at least 10 min but, I’d say 15 with the A/C on. I just did my sun roof and two doors but, for other vehicles do everything you can.
I just finished doing this on a used car that I bought recently. It smells amazing. Done forget to open your doors and turn your car off and leave it open for about 10 mins before you drive off.
So everyone knows, this is not gonna work for 98% of people. Mainly smokers. Or people who have had a lingering smell for awhile. Your issue is not just in your fabric but also the padding under the fabric and carpets. Even if you try cleaning the seats the smell will come back. You will need to ask a detailer to treat your car. They have to run a ozone machine for a minimal of 8 hours then allow the car to air out. Your car needs the same treatment as homes that have had fire damage. So again theirs nothing wrong with this but all your doing is treating the issue on the surface
