I think this episode is full of such amazing scenes. Its one episode that splits all the ghosts with others you don't typically see hanging out with. Like with Hamphrey and the kernal. You getting plot not just with the humans like a half sister and possible new job, but the ghosts and getting to see the recent death of Julian and how he has to truly accept it to 'move on'
I don't know if you picked up on it but the lady called Heather who Julian is trying to talk to and walks through him in this episode is the same person we see die right at the start of the series.. It's a great little call back.
Solid episode. I love the detail of Julian teaching Robin chess, as when you go back to the first episodes, guess who Robin is playing chess against? Yep, Julian. In regards to the purgatory vs hell for Julian. The show isn't giving you the classic heaven/hell/purgatory afterlife. Some ghosts get sucked off immediately, or hang around on Earth and may or may not be sucked off later. I really appreciate how even though they died, the ghosts don't know the answers, and so we don't either. It's open to interpretation. While naturally you recognised Knappet, I thought it funny in your TM series 13 interview reaction, you didn't recognise Bridget Christie as she was Annie in The Thomas Thorne Affair. Granted she only had a limited bit of screen time that episode.
You should look up Lady Button complains to the Titanic. It's spoiler free. The gang gave out a book after the series ended, with all the little back stories they had but didn't use fully in the show. Martha, Jim and Larry had a publisity show which was lead by Bridget (fogot her last name but Annie from Ghosts anda from TM 13). Martha read the letter as Fanny Button. There are also clips from Larry and Jim reading as Robin and Pat. Those are safe from spoilers, but don't read the book till after season 4. (5 is safe). I really recommend the audiobook.
The audiobook is great because the whole cast read their sections of it in character, it’s like a radio play and parts of it (Pat’s rap for example) work better in audio than they do on the page. I love Alison’s interviews of the ghosts too
@@Chiffchaff284The only thing I think I prefer with the actual book is the captains workout rutine. Though it's with the pdf that follows the audible, it's not the same. Also, the timeline is better shown in the book. Everything else is better in the audio book.
For a Knappett fan I’d highly recommend a show called The Outsideers. It’s Jess, Jamali Maddix, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders, and Ed Gamble doing competitive tasks in the woods.
I am delighted I've found your channel. You've covered or are covering so many of my favourites. Brooklyn 99, Schitt's Creek, Taskmaster & now Ghosts! It's lovely to hear a different opinion & laugh along with someone new. I'm in London so it's also always interesting to find a non UK non American reactor which seem a lot rarer!!
@ well I’m in my 60s so we may not always sync up. I enjoyed Friday Night Dinner & Phoenix Nights but I suggested Modern Family to my friend in her 30s & she hated it 🤣 & she agrees with my taste a lot but you know subjective!
I did accident and health insurance sales for about 2 months and made no money too! Except I did it door-to-door. It was horrible. Oh, and the Ghosts/TaskMaster crossover isn't done yet.
If you like Jess, she’s got a new podcast called Perfect Day. Guests you’ll know from reactions to Ghosts, Taskmaster, Baby Reindeer include: Phil Wang, Romesh Ranganthan, Jessica gunning, Tim key, Jamali Maddix, Nick Mohammed (Ted lasso, tm s17), Kiell smith bynoe (plays Mike, tm s15 contestant), Joe lycett, Brett Goldstein. Nothing is as good as the off menu podcast but I don’t think you should listen until you’re up to date with taskmaster as most contestants have been on and it sometimes spoils winners! Greg’s episode is fine though and I think it’s my favourite single episode of a podcast ever. Closely followed by Tim Key, Joe Thomas and Judi Love’s.
I also love Knappet whenever she's on the screen. She was annoyed by Jamali in the Outsiders (well they annoyed each other tbh), but even then she was a bundle of joy.
Hi Adam! I agree we don't get enough lady Button, especially how appalled she gets by everything but then loves reading romance novels lol. I thought the same on having a season and half left of Ghosts, because in the U.S. we got season 1-4 with streaming. But found out there is a 5th season in the uk and was able to find the series on dvd to complete everything. I thought you might want to know, because like you I wasn't ready for the series to be over! Love your reactions & discussions to Ghosts and What we do into the shadows, always fun😊
There are some truly great threads in this episode - but I'm afraid the 'Lucy' storyline is my least favourite thread in the whole 5 series of the show. No offense to Jessica Knapett, she does a great job.
I’d really love for you to watch the American version as well. After the first few episodes it becomes its own thing and it’s just as funny, but in a different way!
The part with Mr. Cheese is a major reason why I love Humphrey so much!
Omg he was hilarious in that scene.
Pat being terrified of Kitty and her dancing is one of the best moments in the entire show. "she's a dance machine!" classic.
One of the best moments of the series here for me. "Yes - doesn't make sense, does it?"

Humphrey and the colonel.

@@IngriddenDigre true, there are good visuals in the book itself, it’s why I bought it in both formats
@@Chiffchaff284 Me too! 😄

Glad you are finding lots of different things you like on the channel. What should I do next?

Have you watched the good place? I think you'd love it if not, same schitt's creek vibes!
At the start of the Patreon credits, I was a bit concerned before “Ritch” came up the screen… looked like something else 😂

I pay attention to the original air date so I don't get spoilers, but thank you for the warning

16:05 Theres 5 seasons total. So you have 2 and a half left
Great reaction 😊 I can’t believe I didn’t recognise Jessica Knappett. And I didn’t pick up on the lady button pun 🤦🏻♀️
And in telling my husband, we’ve just realised her first name is Fanny. Oh my god, we both feel a bit dumb now.
I read your comment four times before I got it. It went over my head as well! Fanny, that one I knew. 😂
@@IngriddenDigre we knew Fanny (UK and Aus meanings are the same, different to USA), but still hadn’t pieced together Fanny Button 😂
OK, I admit it. I just had to google "what is a knappett" - Turns out she has been in lots of things I have never seen
Her appearance on Taskmaster Season 7 was stellar
Don’t fall off of the Knappett.
Hi mate. I sing the theme song with ya every week. I won't watch the last few episodes because I don't want the show to end yet.
You should react to the bloopers

I didn't trust Lucy to begin with either
