Same here, I’m 39 but this Cereal brings me back to the 80s and just being a kid watching Saturday Morning Cartoons with a big bowl of cereal!!! I mostly eat healthy cereals also but I do like to indulge in some Captain Crunch and similar cereals from time to time.
Cap'n Crunch always has the best box art, so I was surprised to see that the Strawberry Shortcake Crunch only came in bags. The loops were a surprise, too. The regular cereal pieces remind me of the 3 stripes on his sleeves.
Dude, I love that the cereal companies now take cues from you and make the fan-demand stuff -- at least some of it! Thanks to you and Cereal Time TV, Gabe! Welcome back and keep up the great, crunchy, delicious work as always! This channel is still one of my all-time favorites! =)

The original strawberry shortcake cereal was so good.They need to bring that back.
I only tend to eat Cap'n Crunch as a dry snack, so the chocolate berry version sounds perfect.
Saturday Morning Cartoons are long gone..but at least we have Saturday Morning Cereal Time, Cereal Time, Cereal Time woooh....I’m not a fan of cereal in a bag either but I would like to try out that Strawberry Shortcake Captain Crunch..good video!

Back in my day of eating Cap'n Crunch regularly in the '80s and '90s, I just stuck to the original and Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries. I know they had other varieties back then, but it's amazing how many much more varieties they have nowadays. Perhaps back then if they had the varieties they have now, I might have ate them regularly as well. But it's all good. I'm at least glad I enjoyed the original and Crunch Berries so much back in the day.

The new Strawberry Rice Krispies cereal in milk tastes like the classic strawberry shortcake Capt. Krunch ice cream bars from when I was a kid!

Not yet. It's on my to-do list, but there are still plenty of other cereals that I want to cover first.
The Blockbuster video cassette you have in the background took my curiosity this entire video it reminded me of the times we would stand outside the return box at our local Blockbusters here in Buffalo and just attack everybody that was returning videos asking what they had because the movie you wanted was fully rented so you had a harass people at the return of box it's too bad I thought that Strawberry Shortcake would be great but I tried some the other day and I agree with everything you stated in your review here the captain is starting to slip up in his old age anyways greetings from Buffalo New York.

That's a bummer about the Strawberry Shortcake Crunch! I love anything berry flavored and I would have grabbed this but the giant bag won't work - my son is allergic to strawberry so I'd never finish that big ass bag on my own. And then the flavor being underwhelming makes this a no for me. Oh well. The chocolate one seems okay. Hope you enjoy your weekend, Gabe, stay crunchy!

They probably weren't originally meant to represent anything, but I always thought that Cap'n Crunch pieces look like the cuffs of the Cap'n's uniform. As for Strawberry Shortcake Crunch not being particularly strawberry-y, I'd imagine the cake and whipped cream flavors would be just as strong, as it is in a real strawberry shortcake, thus muting the strawberry taste somewhat. Since that sounds like it would taste like the terrible Sprinkled Donut Crunch with added Crunchberries to me, I will not be trying it out for myself, though. Nice vid and nice series, dude. Stay crunchy!

I liked the Chocolatey Berry Crunch better as a dry snack. I haven't tried the Strawberry Shortcake because I've only seen it in the giant bags too.

I have to agree with you about cereal bags. I think boxes stand out more. cereal boxes are more fun to look at. it pretty much in the same way a music fan looking at old vinyl album covers.

Would love to see you eventually try Lucio-Oh's. They're a limited time only cereal to coincide with Blizzard's Overwatch, and I'm absolutely in love with their vanilla goodness. Hope to see them in a review soon!!
Just like the Funko cereals I'm gonna pass on these. I don't play Overwatch and they are just vanilla loops -- rebrand of previous Kellogg's cereal. Don't have anything to say about it. Sorry!
I had the Chocolatey Berry crunch and the cruchberries and chocolate pieces seem to have shifted and separated so most of the berries were on top. Had to mix the cereal up in a bag to get a better chocolate to berry ratio. Not bad, but I just wanted to get that out there.
Plus, it really seems this cereal is aimed for adults for some reason, given the back of the box uses the word "decadent," which is NEVER used to market to kids. Otherwise, I'd guess it would have those 1960's characters on the back, like most of Cap'n's other cereals do now. Kinda prefer that myself.

This is the same type of bag used in Malt-o-Meal cereals.
Here's a strange idea for a cereal. "Thomas the Tank Engine: Berry Crunch Express". Its exactly what it sounds like. A fruity flavored cereal with pieces shaped like several different engines.

Shame about the Strawberry Shortcake Crunch. I was having a recent debate about what cereals would be most worthy of inclusion in a time capsule to best represent the art that is cereal production. The consensus was a combination of classics like Corn Flakes and personal favourites such as Cap'n Crunch. Any thoughts yourself?
