Phil Spencer said it himself. He said its great if you buy the games. It supports them, supports the game, and supports the developer. He did not say that about subscribing to gamepass. As a matter of fact, he said "buy" way more than "subscribe", and when he did mention subscribing to the game, he said they'll SUPPORT it on other screens

it’s okay to say he probably just forgot the game was announced and the team behind it, because it seems everyone on the panel did as well, but saying he didn’t say there was not one in the works base on his knowledge of Ubisoft is not true because that’s literally what he said. It’s all good tho bro I was just surprised given his knowledge of Ubisoft that he forgot the game and team behind it was announced.
