Max Olmsted (from the show) and I were actually discussing making a movie about a killer placenta. A whole bunch of them connected together to form a monster. The title? PLACENTAPEDE!
Listening to this I envisioned it similar to the movie Critters and Dream Catcher. I miss the look of film, digital video is so common now and lacks soul.
Placentapede sounds like a Chinese clone cartridge of Centapede you'd find at a dodgy flea market
Oh and the tagine is "There is Life Afterbirth"
"She tries to push it back inside"
A bit of a plot hole there.
Ben, you don't have to pass your work off as ChatGPT, the world will understand.
But, you could understand why no human would want to take credit for that. Right? 😂🎉
Max and I were talking about making a cheesy movie about a killer placenta, so I plugged in that idea to see what would happen.
@@BenHeckHacks - It's beautiful. Please contact Jon and Al Kaplan and bring it to the stage!
@@JohnnyWednesday 🤔 Just hear me out here... But:
*P L A C E N T A :*
*_The Musical!_*
🤣
"I told you my ancient Roman latrine knowledge would come in handy" - So much said... A prequel in making
"It's unlike any placenta I've ever seen" "placentas don't just come to life"
My favorite part was where she tries to push it back inside :)
@@BenHeckHacks My favorite part was when it was revealed that she was attached to it via an umbilical cord the whole time.
I lost it at "it's still connected to me by the umbilical cord"... Hahaha
I now understand how Rings of Power was made...
Well nearly, there's a final step where the script is shredded and then reassembled by some well meaning Fraggles.
You can tell this takes place in America because Lizzy goes back to work immediately the day after giving birth.
Haha. Hey but by having the baby at home she saved 10k even with insurance :)
It'd be the best thing that's come out of Hollywood in years. It must be made. Attack of the Killer Placenta.
A true masterpiece.
Shut up and take my money
I'd give it a standing ovulation but we're past that
Still scarier, funnier, and better-written than Ghostbusters 2016.
So gay😂and yet 100% true
I think Ben’s shift key is broken.
Ben you know this would never sell in Hollywood. It's far too unbelievable. I mean, JIM, the husband, rescuing LIZZY, a strong independent woman? Unheard of.
Its OK. after casting it turns out Jim is Trans and Lizzies partner is in a wheelchair Ironside style. The killer placenta was the result of the patriarchy (somehow).
It can unironically vomit the same or almost similar unbelievably unrealistic drivel that Hollywood "writers" nowadays are known for. ChatGPT has won this round.
20 years ago when I was reading Ben's Atari 2600 portable blog post I was like, kinda neat, but how about an AI generated movie about a killer placenta? Now my dream has come true!
That was 100 placenta amazing!
Better than the new Indiana film, but could do with some extra polish and definitely more latrine-excavation asides ... you know it will attract folk who come for the archeology. 😀👍
I'm having a hard time deciding if this is genius social commentary on the whole AI craze, a genius parody of the quality of contemprary screenwriting, or just a lazy-assed way to get out of having to write your own content. But no matter which - kudos on succeeding!
4:30 The prompts, man. The prompts! 😂
Oh I’d love to think “I told you my knowledge of ancient Roman latrines would come in handy” was delivered by GPT out of spite. Like a real screenwriter who had ambitions of writing high art epics thinking to himself “screw it, it’s good enough for the plebs”. Only thing I would change is “umbilical cord” for “mothers natural bond”. Would be cheaper to make and it plays up to you know who.
It's like the look on Oscar Issac's face when he says "Somehow, Palpatine has returned"
The AI's upward slope in skill has met the writer's downwards slope. Baurkhousen criteria met. Oscillation of crap entertainment is now self sustaining.
Not going to lie, the umbilical cord was a twist I did not see coming.
Both literally and figuratively.
Screenwriters are SHOOK rn.
Well, David Mamet's out of a job 😉
I think James Gunn should be more worried!
I would have preferred the placenta to be from some strange people in a far away land, where eating the placenta post newborn child is a tradition. Only this time, it eats them! Indiana Jones 7 and the curse of the after birth!
..........slow clap..
Genius idea!🤣
Yeah, it needs a little workshopping. But I think if we really knuckle down, we can be ready to start production in 12 weeks.
Just reshoot 75% of it later like Disney always does! Doesn't cost anything ya know!
Thank you Ben, that was quite enjoyable!
A Syfi original movie, in all honesty its better than anything i could have come up with
I will never unhear that.
Lol Ben what kind of nightmare did you have to come up with this plot...
My sense of humor is beyond dark.
_"but it's not like any placenta lizzy had ever seen"_
Hmmm so... cops... see alot of placentas (placentae?) in their line of work??? 🤣
LMAO @ still connected to Lizzy by the umbilical cord... Just miles and miles of umbilical cord traversing the town, eh?
Yea, ok, I guess I can buy that... 😅
They actually first on the scene sometimes and help with birthing when their isn't another option available my middle child was delivered by the fire department
@@christopherdecorte1599 I have limited medical knowledge, but I thought the placenta came out some time after? Which I think it's why it's also called "afterbirth", since it is apparently coming out anywhere from 5/18mins to 60mins after delivery (5min ClevelandClinic; 18min WebMD). I would think in _most cases_ that the EMTs would be on scene by then... But, I'm open to being wrong! (sincerely) 🥴
Firemen... eerrr firefolk? (firefighters, I know lol)
Eitherway, almost all (90%) of them are EMT Certified. Whereas police, it's only ~24%:
_"A survey was conducted by the authors of “Pre-Hospital and Disaster Medicine” to determine the level of medical training of law enforcement personnel. The results are as follows: 69% had First Responder Training (CPR and First-aid), _*_26% had EMT basic training."_*
(source quote of 90%:
_"The majority of calls to which firefighters respond involve medical emergencies (almost two-thirds or 64%, to be exact). So, it makes sense that _*_more than 90% of fire departments now require their employees to be EMT certified before jumping on the truck."_* )
Again, I'm open to being proven wrong, since I'm just parroting what I'm reading, and my info could be missing a key piece of info.
After all, in my initial quip, I hadn't considered the fact that police might arrive on scene first, to an accident or the like. _(a 911 call about an elder involving imminent childbirth, I'd like to think they'd send medics not a cop 😬)_
@C S ~ [Duke of Ramble] it delivered after the baby the umbilical cord is attached to the placenta it is responsible for nourishing the baby during pregnancy. They took care of that too it's dangerous to leave in after it was a mess that night uncontrolled situation was a blood bath. Shivers
Ben you're a genius on so many levels. Thank you so much for the laughs!
I would very much like to see more of these!
RIP screenwriters...
I told you my ancient Roman latrine knowledge would come in handy!
Love the umbilical ex-machina, and pulsing mass.
S.T.A.R.S... The killer placenta deeply gravles as the police approach to confront the specimen.
2:07 - the birth of Sloth from Goonies :)
I think the real question is: Why did the ancient Romans use a large silver device that looked like a cross between a spear and cattle prod in their latrines? Other than killing placentas, what is its function?
Clearly a robot dildo.
@@BenHeckHacksAh, so that's what Archimedes lost in the bathtub! "Eureka, I've found it!"
I have had some fun experimenting with chatbot making C++ programs but they usually needed fixing to work.
Well, it was better than the last couple Indiana Jones movies.
Off the wall story!
Yep, lol, looks like it's game over for screenwriters man. This isn't even close to as bad as the modern human writers. Kevin MacLeod is the master of free cinematic music. Great Music! Great taste!
YESSSSSS. Holy shit Ben this was amazing! Legit lmaoing. Please do more!
0:00 What the hell, I had a fever dream about that once.
I mean, except for the cop ...and the horse.
Dude.
dying. Best thing I've seen all day.
Based on a true story with found footage.
Lol one of the streaming platforms will probably be on his door now trying to buy the rights for a series.
Still better than anything from the DCEU
😂 only Ben…
Oscar caliber old chap
@MamaDoctorJones I believe we need your opinion on this cinematic tour de force :)
Next: Revenge of the killa placenta.
Oh my.
Placenta in Swedish is called Moderkaka = Mother Cookie
I don't like that "cookie" is kaka 😢 lol
As that has a *_whole_* different meaning in English languages; ie "caca" aka 💩 🥴
_(and I think it's a loanword to/from other languages; Spanish, for example)_
On a serious note: Languages really are fascinating in this way!
Mother cake
We call it Micke.
heart breaking
It has some logic flaws but I was still mildly entertained. Fire the rest of the writers!
AI: The Ultimate Scab!
Dark asf killer percenta 😆
Well, I sat though the whole story which is more than I've done with any new film or TV show in years!
It's certainly better than Amazon's The Bored of the Rings: The Rings of Suck
She went to work the day after giving birth?
Yeah just like the movie Prometheus!
Honestly, while the premise is daft (though sillier movies have been made)… depressingly it's at least on par with what holywood has churned out before. I can also confirm the "what the hell is that" part is accurate for child birth 100% even when not involving murderous placentas!
Here I thought it already did for the last 15 years or so. What a shit stain Hollywood screenplays have become.
I've certainty *seen* worse films and read / written worse ones.
Better plot than The Flash
Epic.
Please don't let SyFy get hold of this!
(They'll never buy my screenplay "KangaRantula".)
you can even ask chatgpt to rewrite what it writes so it is written like a human wrote it.
i have so many questions but i dont think i want the answer to any of them
Hahahaha absolute masterpiece.
twisted!!
Magical!
Lol this is hilarious
Much better than Possumus Woman.
Dang Placenta, always getting accused of murders they committed by racists.
Epic
this story has as many hole in it like someone hast obliterated it with and machine gun.
Watch out David Koepp
What keyboard are you using? It doesn't sound completely rubber dome key, early 2000's Microsoft shitty. I am curious.
It is a Microsoft Internet keyboard from 2000. Yes I still use a 23 year old keyboard. Why not?
@@BenHeckHacks There is no reason not to. I am just surprised that a 23 year old rubber dome keyboard is as pleasantly audibly tactile as this. Call it disbelief.
I have an old IBM keyboard from the 90s. You press the key down until the spring lets go and then it pops like a cap gun going off. Very satisfying.
@@jampskan5690I type really hard according to people IRL. Plus I was cranking it up for effect you know movie magic BS.
Wtf
Still a better story than Twilight!
Oh Ben!!?! You gotta be $#!*ing me?!
AI is fun to play with, when is it going to turn and play with us.
I just told Dall-e to “Design a bipolar junction transistor in the form of a cartoon character” and it said I’m not following their content policy. Guess it won’t let me make an LGBTQ electronics childrens book 😂
fools.
FFS I don't wanna live like this.
cut. print!
I imagine you had to clear the browser history and cache after searching for images for this.
He’s used an a.i art app…so all the art is made by a.i too…pretty scary
@@sarahl7904There were a few images it generated that were way too disturbing for this video.
I've seen movies with worse writing.
LMAO 😂😂
I kid you not… I am an independent contractor for a company that creates all their marketing material using this dumb AI and somehow they don’t realize it’s just regurgitating everything they have published about their products. 😂
*marketing*
Survival of the Fittest does not *only* apply to living things!
So if they want to entrust their company's future to a glorified chatbot... Then sobeit!
If their products are any good, they will hopefully speak for themselves then.
Though there's the chance they are good products, but the palm-worthy marketing material might scare good off. In which case... 👋 Nice knowin' ya!
If their prior material had *_also_* been chatbot generated, then hoo-boy!
I suspect they're going to be experiencing the chatbot-equivalent to the Game of Telephone, where the correctness of the information continue to degrade more and more! 🤣
wtf? LOL
😂
This cannot be a movie, too short. Stop feeding AI.
feeding AI what rubbish 😂
@@jcthe2nd Ah, clearly somebody that doesn't understand what is behind it and doesn't understand that such system needs to practice at a large scale to make it better and better. How? Developer: "We need to practice the system with all kind of questions but it need to be done quickly and cheap." Other developer: "Make it available to the public and let the fools enter questions to learn and practice". Developer: "Yeah, that is good idea, similar to a free and funny face editing app to practice and learn face recognition better." Later: Launch of ChatGPT.
Someone get Oliver Stone on the phone, we've got a movie to make!!!
ChatGPT cannot replace screenwriters. That's just silly. I've been using it for 6 months. It's a terrible writer. It's great for brainstorming, that's all.
Pretty sure that's partially Ben's point here.
Then again, knowing Ben, he might be taking a jab at Indy 5's plot... 🤷♂️🤣
@@DUKE_of_RAMBLE I sure hope that's his point.
yeh no.
